Rick Tozer (Rudy’s Revenge) Nic Liu (Love International / Tonic Records) Plus guest Jim Hanson (Le Château) =================================== So your probably pretty used to the This is not a rave format… we spend our time riding the blogs with our noses to the floor trying to unearth the next big producer or most talked about local london DJ talent in the electro beats, bass and jacking house scene… we then present them to you at recession friendly prices that tesco could only dream of… ably supported by the This is not a rave! residents rotating it all to keep it all so fresh that a softmint would wanna use us to brush its teeth. Deep breath. Obviously when you had the likes of Scott Cooper / Trevor Loveys / Andy George / Hijack / Heavyfeet / Detboi / Cormac / Lee Mortimer / Hostage / Idiotproof / Solo / Mr C / Tomoki Tomura / Kid Cola / Urchins / Buster Bennett / Per Qx / Lorcan Mac and most recently Rachel Barton down, you let their names do the talking… But hey. isn’t it about time the residents got to show of their skills back home in the TINAR shed? Yep, we agree. The residents special. Hold on tight, this could get messy… Starring: Not Shy (Calling All Tribes): http://www.myspace.com/djnotshy Not Shy bounced onto the scene with an explosive first set in 2008 which gained this new comer the attention of ravers, club kids, industry players and established DJs. He’s rapidly rising towards the top of the London scene playing at a number of clubbing institutions including Trailer Trash, Always Fridays @ Egg, SE1, Jamm, 333, and others. His first years have seen him billed with some of the top talent in the game including Basement Jaxx, Zombie Disco Squad, Andy George, AC Slater, Trevor Loveys, HiJack, Detboi, and Raffertie. A true master of the slick and heavy mix, dropping high energy jump-up filthy electro house, driving jacking tech house and some wildcard bass excursions, delivered raw and loud. Nic Liu / Love Express (Love International / Tonic Records): http://www.myspace.com/nicliu When not busy promoting record label Love International (www.lov-in.com) or spinning out under his alias 'ohliuliu', Nic likes to play house, groovy techno and disco. His label efforts have seen a signing to Word and Sound distribution, so look out his first releases on Love International in the coming months. On the Dj front he has been playing a far a field as Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. More recent gigs have seen him at the Dalston Superstore, Egg, Always Fridays + Mixmag parties as well as grace the decks at London’s coolest techno party Wet Yourself @ Fabric. He’s a die hard indie fan turned to the dark side of electro-dance music. With influences from Fidget, Indie and Electro expect the unexpected and get ready to dance. Rick Tozer (Revenge Is Sweet): http://www.myspace.com/ricktozer Falling in love with music at the dawn of Rave, Rick frequented warehouse parties and classic nights such as Seduction, Evolution and the infamous Camber Weekender in 1992. When he was 15 he set about ripping up the local house party scene in South West London and then over the next 5 years built up a great reputation, had three weekly residencies, played on bills alongside the likes of Grooverider, Fabio, Judge Jules, Oakenfold, Plump Djs and Sven Vath to name a few and played parties at The Cross and Ministry Of Sound. After a 5 year sabbatical in a rock band producing live beats he’s returned to his DJ roots and we are proud to have him spinning at This Is Not A Rave! =================================== Downstairs – As always Mooch are proving the techno counterblow to This Is Not A Rave and we are very pleased to be partying with them again. They've got Louis Guilhem (Lo’kee / Minimal Carnival) with some tech-house n techno beats with support from the residents Natalie Coleman, Yellowcake and Johnnycash.
