Oslo Live Festival

  • Oslo Live came out of the ashes of the old Quart Festival in 2008. Idealism and a great sense of appreciation for music were perfect reasons for creating a new festival in Oslo. 2008 came and went and 2009 saw the festival grow into a household name among Oslo’s citizens and proved to be a major success. With a mixed line-up of rock and electronic acts as diverse as Santigold and Swedish metal phenomenon Opeth the festival has a history of having something for everyone. 2010 will be no different and we look forward to host even greater international and national acts. With an almost ridiculous entrance fee of 200 NOK (€25), we’re positively certain that this year’s festival will prove to be yet another amazing party, with an estimated crowd of 30 000 waiting to enter both the festival arena at Kontraskjæret, and the different clubs who will host various club nights during the festival. Oslo Live Festival is a prime choice for the urban music lover. It shows Oslo from its most vibrant side, with a wide variety of cultural and musical offerings. In order to please the full specter of musical expressions, we’ve chosen to dedicate each day to a special genre. Additionally, you’ll find a quality club program, with a wide variety of acts ready to set Oslo’s nightlife on fire when the fun stops at Kontraskjæret! We’re very much looking forward to present this year’s festival, and hope to see you there!
