  • WOLFGANG VOIGT Wolfgang Voigt is an artist, music producer and co-founder of Kompakt label and record store based in Cologne, known under innumerable monikers like GAS, Mike Ink, Love Inc., Studio1, Freiland, Sog, Wassermann. Pioneer of minimal techno - for more than 25 years now, he has been realigning the boundaries between techno and art, between minimal and ambient. The creative body of Wolfgang Voigt has always been characterized by complexity, boundlessness, unpredictability. The negation of the bounds of genre, style, and taste has been and still is today a crucial element of his body of work, just like the uptake / quotation and processing of external contents through universal sampling. Having been socialized in the pop culture of the 1970s and 80s, Wolfgang Voigt has since been creating his very own art-music cosmos influenced by glam rock and jazz, new wave and folk music, pop art, and digital expressionism. RÜCKVERZAUBERUNG 11 years ago Wolfgang Voigt created the concept Rückverzauberung to advance to the deeper spheres of abstract ambient and electronic atonality beyond his project GAS. More than in previous projects, the term Rückverzauberung ("reverse-enchantment") stands for Voigt’s creative approach of stripping certain musical sound sources of their original form or meaning in order to put them in a new aesthetic context (deconstruction). Rückverzauberung is an ambient electronic concert-lecture for a seated audience. Dense soundscapes mutate with alchemic fluidity, unravelling with vast symphonic counterpoints and synesthetic textures. Intoxicating in its Mephistolean dissonances and ambitious sonic structure, the sprawling "Rückverzauberung” itself becomes a nebulous organism shrouded in the seeping mist of the unknown. “Rückverzauberung was conceived as more or less a kind of follow-up to GAS. [...] For me, it seemed like a logical, radical and necessary step into a more atonal and experimental sound cosmos; something which in German we call ‘E-Musik’ [ernste Musik], meaning serious music. It felt like the right time for this transition – I don’t know whether I am making music for a different world than the one before it but, as David Bowie said: ‘Time may change me, but I can’t trace time.’” – Wolfgang Voigt MAGAMURA Magamura – collaborative side-project of Eril Fjord & Laurine Frost, known for their story-driven compositions and utopistic sounds. Their exclusive sets are weird mixtures of the retrospective minimalism inspired by space race, with a pinch of kraut and modern electronica. Their one-time only album ‘Supernaturals’ was released on Kebko Music Tokyo in 2017. Magamura opens the night with an ethereal live show. CT KIDOBÓ Budapest-based DJ and producer CT Kidobó has been experimenting with electronic music for the last decade gaining support from the likes of Helena Hauff, DJ Hell, Marcel Dettmann, Laurent Garnier and Jennifer Cardini. The last few years have seen his project appear on the likes of Zone, Gnork's Earth Plates and home label Dalmata Daniel. For the occasion CT Kidobó prepares a special ambient DJ set.
