Die große Freitags-Clubnacht des CTM 2023 im Berghain wird eingeläutet von den punkigen afro-futuristischen Sounds von Mookie, Mitglied des experimentellen afro-diasporischen Kollektivs Jokkoo aus Barcelona. LustSickPuppy mischen Elemente aus Punk, Gabber, Drum & Bass und Rap und liefern zu gleichen Teilen Glitzer und Blut in einer Live-Rave-Liturgie, die das Publikum für einen unvergleichlichen Ritt an die Leine nimmt. Rave, Black Metal, Industrial und Noise bilden die unheilige Allianz, zu der sich das Kunst- und Musikprojekt VMO aka Violent Magic Orchestra verschworen hat. Der intensive Moshpit-Sound des sechsköpfigen Kollektivs aus Japan ist mittlerweile auf Gabber Eleganzas NEVER SLEEP Label zu Hause. In der schwindelerregenden Fragmentierung und den Acid-Crescendos von Van Boom aus Dubai steckt eine tiefgründige Auseinandersetzung mit Erfahrungen von Differenz und Ungehorsam unter sehr realen Umständen. Mit einer neuen LP auf PAN in der Pipeline wird Tzusing seine Mischung aus aggressiver, kathartischer Musik mit schrägen Rhythmen, strukturierten Harmonien, resonanten Drums und einer gelegentlichen Anspielung auf die erlösende Kraft des Pop auf den Dancefloor loslassen. Marie Davidson, eigentlich für unterkühlten Coldwave Synthpop mit einem Hauch von Humor bekannt, löst hinter den Decks jegliche Handbremsen und steigert sich von Electro, EBM und geradlinigem Techno, zu Ausflügen in Psytrance. Zum Schluss liefert Lolsnake, die Gründerin der queeren Partyreihe Weeeirdos, ein hartes hypnotisches Technoset.
In der Panorama Bar wird Courtesy Techno, House und Dark Electro auflegen. Ihre Debüt-EP Night Journeys aus dem Jahr 2022 zeigt, wie ein gut geschultes DJ-Ohr den eigenen Produktionen zu Gute kommen kann. Asep Nayak ist ein Produzent aus West-Papua, der zum ersten Mal nach Europa kommt. Er hat die lokale Wisisi-Musik seiner Heimatregion neu definiert, indem er daraus einen kompromisslos schnellen und zugleich euphorischen Sound geschaffen hat, der uns auffordert, einfach loszulassen und Spaß zu haben. Die mit den Sisso-Studios verbundene Queen Asher ist eine der wenigen Singeli-Produzentinnen. Sie wird mit ihrer Mutter Rehema Tajiri auftreten, einer legendären Tarraab- und Singeli-Sängerin. Begleitet werden sie von den ansteckenden Moves der Singeli-Tänzerinnen Nana und Zai. Crystallmess bewegt sich von rauem Zouk und Dancehall zu Afro-Trance und Detroit-Techno. Local Juice Soundsystem-Chefin Hanaby ist mit ihrem Afro-Elektro-Sound einer der am schnellsten aufstrebenden DJs Berlins, während Nala Brown Detroit-Techno, New Yorks New Generation Club, Pop- und R&B-Edits und energiegeladene Percussion zu höchst ansteckenden, tanzbaren Sets verbindet.

Blending elements of punk, gabber, drum & bass and rap, LustSickPuppy delivers equal parts glitter and blood through a live rave liturgy that takes audiences by the leash while offering the ride of a lifetime. Rave, black metal, industrial, and noise form an unholy alliance with art and music project VMO aka Violent Magic Orchestra. The intense mosh music of the six-piece collective from Japan has found a home on Gabber Eleganza's NEVER SLEEP label, which is slated to release their upcoming second album. Encoded into the giddy fragmentation and acidic crescendos of Van Boom’s music is a deep meditation on the meaning of difference and disobedience in very real circumstances. With a new full-length LP on PAN in the pipeline, Tzusing will venture into his blend of aggressive, cathartic music, inflected with off-kilter rhythms, textured harmonies, resonant drums and an occasional nod to the redemptive power of pop. Beloved for her heavy-lidded coldwave and synthpop with a touch of humor, Marie Davidson will appear with a fun-fuelled high-octane DJ set that cycles through straight-up techno, EBM, electro, and the occasional dip into psy trance. Lolsnake is the founder of the queer party Weeeirdos and has a love of hypnotic techno and harder sounds.
Up in Panorama Bar, Courtesy will spin high-impact techno, house, and dark electro. Her 2022 debut EP Night Journeys hints at the power of a well-tuned DJ ear turning to producer. West Papuan producer Asep Nayak comes to Europe for the first time. He has been redefining the local wisisi music of his home region, creating this relentless, fast paced euphoric sound asking us to just let go and have fun. Sisso affiliate Queen Asher is one of the few female singeli producers. She will perform with her mother Rehema Tajiri, a famed Tarraab and Singeli singer. They will be joined by the contagious movements of singeli dancers Nana and Zai. Moving from abrasive zouk and dancehall to afro-trance and Detroit techno is Crystallmess, Local Juice Soundsystem head honcho Hanaby is one of the fastest rising DJs in the 030 with her afro-electro sound, while Nala Brown blends Detroit techno, New York's new generation club, pop and r&b edits, and high energy percussion into highly infectious, danceable sets.
