Fakear: Elektronische Musik als Reise ohne Ziel, aber immer Richtung Zukunft.
Der französische Musiker, Beatmaker und Produzent Fakear, alias Theo Le Vigoureux, ist der hellste Stern einer immer noch neuen Welle elektronischer Musik aus Frankreich, der oft auf einer Achse irgendwo zwischen Flume, Kaytranada, Mount Kimby und Bonobo verortet wird und deren Soundqualität er ohne Zweifel nicht bloß erreicht, ihm gelingt da schon ein ganz eigener Stil.
Ein Pionier, der 2015 das legendäre Pariser Olympia ausverkaufen konnte und erst danach sein erstes Album (Animal) vorlegte, mit dem er dann Gold Status erreichte. Mit dem Song "La Lune Rousse" gelang ihm ein globaler Hit, der ihn um die ganze Welt trug. Er spielte an der Seite von M.I.A und Odesza sowie eine Welttournee mit Bonobo.
Eine wahnsinnige Reise, die mit der Veröffentlichung einer Reihe von EPs (Morning In Japan und Dark Lands im Jahr 2013, Sauvage im Jahr 2014, Asakusa im Jahr 2015) begann und mit denen er eine erste eigene starke Sound-Identität schmiedete, indem er britischen Post-Dubstep und orientalische Einflüsse elegant vermischte. Inzwischen sind neben vielen EPs, Remixen und Kollaborationen vier Alben entstanden. Genug Material um sich immer weiter von musikalischen Moden zu verabschieden.
Fakear beweist, dass Beatmaking in der Popkultur aufgehen kann, ohne Identität und Charakter zu verlieren. Sein Sound eignet sich für die Tanzfläche ebenso wie für das Hören unter dem Sternenhimmel: Instinktiv und organisch, cineastisch schwelgend und konkret zugleich.
Mittlerweile ist sein fünftes Album in Arbeit, dass 2023 erscheinen wird. Wir sind sehr gespannt, was für einen Sound er uns mitbringen wird.

A wild journey, that began with the release of a series of EPs (Morning In Japan and Dark Lands in 2013, Sauvage in 2014, Asakusa in 2015) and with which he forged a strong sound identity, elegantly mixing British post-dubstep and oriental influences. In the meantime, four albums have been produced alongside many EPs, remixes and collaborations. Enough material to say goodbye to musical fashions.
Fakear proves that beatmaking can merge with pop culture without losing identity and character. His sound is suitable for the dance floor as well as for listening under the stars: instinctive and organic, cinematically dreamy and concrete at the same time.
