UK based label Hummingbird is hosting a label night at The Imaginarium in Leeds on the 11th Feb 2023. The label is known for its immersive sounds in the realms of House and Techno music, often crossing the threshold of electro, deep, breaky and acidic. Expect no less at a label party!
We are bringing up a very special guest from the South of the country to headline the night, this will infact be his second appearance in the city having made his first back in 2015. His musical productions are a cut above many and if you haven't checked his Bandcamp yet there are some exclusive gems stored away on there, trust me. Otherwise you may be familiar with his other works for labels such as Local Talk, Poker Flat Rec, Deep Series and more recently a new LP on Bristol imprint Dawn State...oh yeah and there was that EP for 2020 Vision...just saying
He's been a guest and mixed for Rinse, Data Transmission and Red Rack'em as well as toured and played in Berlin, Munich, Prague, London, Milan, Rotterdam, Paris...you get the picture ;) We are really excited to bring Kindimmer back up t'North for a proper little shindig.
Joining him on the line up are two other local resident denizens, the first needs little introduction around town, having built up a solid repution within the Leeds scene as a DJ, event organiser, creative artist, venue owner and now up coming producer, there can be no doubting in the talent here, who else could it be but Roya Brehl!
Joining them on the night will be the other resident on the line up, a local-ish DJ, prodcuer, label owner/founder of Hummingbird and...narrator? He has been involved with music for the last 20 odd years in various scenes including Melbourne, Lausanne and Berlin. He's porduced a few releases over the years, both on his label and for others such as Claap, Vekton Black and recently Fourier Transform.
That is the line up for the night, it doesn't get more enticing than that! The audio format will bring many sounds together, expect some Detroit, Chicago, Bristol and Berlin... We all love a bit of 909, 808 and some 303... come get some!
