SASHA "Downloaded 5/5" DUBFIRE At 25 years old, this UK, South Coast based progressive house and techno DJ, devotes countless hours to his music production and already has a fair few achievements under his belt. Wade’s style is a fusion of all his music passions; combining euphoric melodic chord progressions, rolling house beats with dark electronic techno FX, and percussion. This seamless integration has bought Wade to the attention of some of the industries big spinners, including Sander Van Doorn who supported Wade’s remix of corderoy & u41cdjs – ‘3spirit’. Another advocate of Wade’s remixing ability is Sasha, who dropped his remix of Gamma Rox & Roy Brizman – ‘Al Tiga Li Babeten’ on his Radio 1 essential mix, live from Amnesia. This, alongside seeing Bookashade drop the same remix to a maxed-out arena at Godskitchen’s Global Gathering, is a sure sign of his mainstage sound. Fellow south-coaster and Radio 1 DJ Dave Spoon appreciates Wade’s talent, “I first heard of Wade when I remixed a Beta Blokka (Wade’s previous guise) track two years ago. His music has impressed worldwide via a host of international DJ's and he continues to bring more to his sound with every release. I can't wait to hear what's next.” Wade Bennett discovered he had an insatiable passion for music in his early teenage years and after dabbling with music through his younger years, it was when Wade was 19 that music became a way of life. After winning a local DJ competition the first time he ever played-out, Wade’s success quickly secured him residencies at local club nights Stimulate, Contact, Sound Projx, Punch Funk and Wildchild. Wade was soon showcasing his deep, driving baselines and swirling atmospherics at some of the UK’s most iconic clubs including The Opera House, Empire, Ministry of Sound, SE1 and Canvas. After a few trips to the sunny, sound-drenched terraces of Ibiza, Wade’s musical taste developed strongly towards house & techno. Shortly after, Wade enrolled onto a midi-sequencing and software course taught by respected producer, engineer and live act, Dave Robertson (reset robot). Armed with knowledge to start producing his own music, Wade, and fellow course mate, Ian Pinnington, formed DJ-ing duo, Beta Blokka. They quickly completed their first production self entitled, ‘Beta Blokka’. It was released on Punch Funk Records, receiving major support from Radio 1’s Fergie, King Unique, Luke Dzierzek and James Talk. Then remixed by Radio 1’s Dave Spoon, ‘Beta Blokka’ received further acolation from Nic Fanculli, Mark Knight and Danny Freakazoid. Shortly after, the pair was signed to Silver Planet Records, releasing further tracks that were all supported by DJ’s around the globe. Further successes followed for Beta Blokka; firstly making their debut at The Opera House, Bournemouth, warming up for Petrae Foy; then playing at Godskitchen’s Global Gathering followed by trips to the Fun Factory in Ljubjana, Slovenia.andorra and austria Wanting to focus on his own music production and live performance, Wade has spent the last year locked down in the studio mastering his craft and producing new sounds.the result being a brand new arsenal of dancefloor ready music. After honing his deck technique over the past five years, 2010 is set to catapult Wade Bennett into the international DJ arena where he can showcase his talent and demonstrate his live performance. His style runs the musical scale from minimal to techno, With a dash of tribal thrown in for good measure. After spending years immersed in the Madrid (spain) club scene, his new collective, nomad sounds, delivers barrages of frantic but fascinating tech grooves perfect for the dance floor. Having spent six years DJ'ing and been resident in Dublin’s premier night spots in Ireland (tripod, spirit, ALT,....etc..) Danny’s ability to play hard-hitting, techy and minimal on any given day and Spanish influenced tribal the next has made him an entrancing and diverse force to be reckoned with.danny also has share dj box with big names such as sebastian ledger, umek, oscar mulero.... If you love dance music then you have without doubt danced to his floor filling efforts at one time or another. ********************************************************* JOHN O' CONNOR (Resident) John O' Connor has been DJing over 10 years now, and is one of Irelands upcoming DJs. John has been running different club nights in his home town for years now and over the last year has founded and set-up ,a very successful night called" ALIVE " which plays host to the best in local talent, and also attracts some of the best in DJs throughout Ireland.( Dan Sykes, Cian Frawley, Did , Danny Alonso,Dj Pushee etc.) John has also DJ'd at the Ministry of Sound London and the Tripod Dublin, and will be returning to both in 2010. 2010 is going to be a busy year,with his monthly "ALIVE", finding a permanent home @ the queens nightclub in Ennis Co. Clare ireland,which is newly renovated state of the art nightclub in ennis ! and will be working on bringing big acts in 2010 , with the likes of Marco Carola, Tom Middlleton, Christian Smith, John Selway, Audiofreak, along side local talent . John also makes his festival debut this year at the award winning best irish dance festival "LIFE-FESTIVAL 2010" which will be held over 3 days on june 4th,5t,6th @ belevedere house and gardens in co.westmeath. life was also voted in the top 10 best small european festival awards this year. John has always being one of great heart and passion , and is setting up a djacademy in conjunction with queens nightclub,to help young people ,learn the skills of djing ,and also give them knowledge to pursuing a career in the electronic music industry . John's main influences in DJing are Sasha and John Digweed. It was their sound and creativity as DJs and their unique and captivating performances that made John want to DJ in the first place. With their Northern Exposure series and each of their Global Underground releases, in particular Sasha San Francisco GU009, this confirmed john's ambition and passion for this music and the whole electronic scene. John has just had an interview for the Ministry of Sound, who are following his progress very closely since he got involved with the DJ academy. He has been clearly noticed as a great talent. John is fast building a great reputation in Ireland and England. His sound is one of a journey and captivates people where ever he plays with his unique style of DJing , with the broad knowledge of different genres of electronic music and the ability to combine all of this into his sets, while creating a blissful, energetic sound. John is also working on producing tracks at the moment and he has also collaborated on a track with good friend DJ Millhouse, which they hope to release in the New Year.John is fast building up a hectic schedule, between running his own monthly club night "Alive", playing throughout Ireland, weekly Sunday live internet radio show and now with international gigs just shows that John is quickly making a name for himself at home and abroad.
