We acknowledge the stolen grounds we are meeting on - specifically the Yandilup locality; which translates to mean ‘the reeds are on and by this place’. These low lying wetlands that connected the Derbarl Yerrigan and provided access for water, fishing & recreation, plus providing great cultural significance for generations. Yandilup is part of the wider coastal plains on Whadjuk boodjar, home to the Noongar people - who have cared for, loved and dreamed on this land for more than 40 thousand years. We respect their ongoing contribution to this region and we acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded and this will always be Aboriginal land.
