We are back for a big one. I started Animaux a decade ago and I can seldom believe that I am inviting you all to the tenth birthday! Let's 'ave iiiit!!
Lurka [Fringe White, Timedance]
In his many years in the game, Lurka has undoubtedly established himself as a household name and iconic figure of the heavily praised “Bristol-Sound.“ Being strongly rooted in the city’s rich musical tradition, his productions have spanned numerous genres, each release always outperforming the one before. Yet there’s always a distinct style that is unique to his work, in particular his knack for sparseness and tension within tracks, not to mention his enviable drums.
It’s no surprise, therefore, that his releases on Hotline Recordings, Timedance and Wisdom Teeth were highly reviewed by music heads. Lurka also runs his own imprint Fringe White, which has become known for complex yet highly danceable beat science tunes. There’s no doubt in our mind that this is a producer who will be around for many more years.
Earthly Pleasures
Headed up by NARR resident Alex Hughes and Ripe Radio resident Josh Latham (Direct Function), the duo is known for smashing massive b2b sets that reflect their passion for digging out the very best in dance music which they proved at multiple events across the city.
The pair will be warming things up on the night showcasing their select taste in house, breaks, electro and more.
