Vantage are back at Exchange, this time inviting UK hero and all round badboy Etch, accompanied with the dynamic and formidable Katiusha
Etch has gone from strength to strength throughout his electronic music career, with releases on Keysound, Sneaker Social Club and Wisdom Teeth, as well as his own label Altered Roads. Etch is a multi-faceted talent who is not shy to throw himself in many different musical directions. Both his production and DJ sets are, like him, full of energy. Not one for playing it safe, Etch prefers to take risks and take the listener on an adventure, something that might stem from his nerd affinity and deep love for all kinds of fantasy video games.
Katiusha’s sets have dazzling range and dynamic energy, flying through heavy rollers, psychedelic trips, and the frenetic sounds of hardcore, jungle, bassline and dubstep. She does ambient, too, as fans of her Cashmere Radio show Above The Clouds will know. From one moment to the next, you could find yourself deep in bassweight or awash in technicolour. FACT Mag dubbed her sound “diaphanous rave.”
To warm up proceedings, we invite Vantage regulars and b2b kings, Tom Jarmey and Litherland. These two warm up a party with panache and guile, and have given us some memorable sets at Vantage nights past. Can't wait to have them back in February.
