Well, this is kind of what we had in mind when we opened, hosting stacked line ups, night in, night out.
Taking the likes of Sakro on a Sunday and following up with local lord Mike Montana the following night.
Couple this with Playa’s own Sunday’s boogie coordinator and head honcho of ‘danza futurista’ – Jesus Nava, familiar face, Sokur now making his 3rd appearance under the red palapa while Alex Voyager makes his first.
Mike Montaño
Mike Montaño is no stranger but one of the references from what the mexican talent has exported to the underground music world. Not only as a dj but a reference from the nightlife in Playa del Carmen. His adoption as a resident dj from legendary club La Santanera and thebpmfestival let him experience face to face the worldwide taste and the demanding crowds on the dancefloor.
Jesus Nava
Head honcho of the Sunday dance brand – Danza Futurista, Jesus has also had his hand in musically curating ‘The House of AïA’. Having recently finished a heavy weekend of 3 events in a row in early January we’re grateful to be hosting him under our palapa.
Sokur
No stranger to our little venue on 6th, Soku has quickly chalked up a string a tidy musical sets from the very first opening set to the madness that insued after Argentina’s win in the world cup. Packing a bag of warm house grooves, we think it’s a tidy pairing to be warming up Mike Montano.
Alex Voyager
Rounding off the mischievous trio of house heads, the third PDC local, Alex is equally as endowed with a taste of classic house hats, warm synthy chords and disco samples.
