With the loyal following that made the Deeper Substance parties so special, starting to get the Autumn itch, and the momentum of the record label fast taking shape (‘…Deeper Substance Records is fast becoming a must-check label’ – IDJ AUG ’06), it is only so long you can keep a lid on the energy and determination coming from the DSR camp.
The 13th October sees the events HQ kick-start back into life celebrating the debut release on DSR from Ortzroka with ‘T2’ (DSR006) and the first of 3 no-holes-barred secret warehouse parties in East London.
DJ’s Kicking off proceedings will be Ortzroka who have been rocking The Key, The Cross and Turnmills as well as holding the backroom for Subliminal Sessions all summer. Playing alongside is producer/wonder Kid Dub fresh from his success on Mood Music with ‘Micro Genius’ (MOODLIM-014), DSR stalwart Huw Lloyd and Andy Chatterley of Skylark/Buick Project fame in a rare London appearance.
The Warehouse parties are sure to revitalise the DSR party madness after last October’s roadblock Groove Armada gig at The Rhythm Factory and an appearance in Room 3 at Fabric the same month.
Whoever said that the party season finishes in Ibiza will need to add a few more dates to the 2006 calendar.
