We open our 2023 season on Easter weekend, and for the 11th year Mr Norman Jay MBE joins us for the first of 3 summer parties.
To open things up, we are absolutely honoured to welcome dance music royalty in what will be his 2nd last ever gig, Mr Simon Dunmore.
Simon Dunmore lives and breathes house music. Marrying the sharpest of A&R ears and an astute business brain to this passion has enabled him to create a unique legacy championing the scene he loves. His commitment and level of success over the last 30+ years in the house scene is unparalleled. Founder of the what has been become the biggest house music imprint in the world, Defected Records, back in 1999, and the hugely successful disco brand, Glitterbox, back in 2014, Simon last year took the decision to step down as CEO, and for the first part of 2023, has embarked on a final run of DJ shows, ending at Glitterbox on 16 April. We are absolutely thrilled that Simon has chosen to join us the week before for what is part of his Final Credit.
As the Carnival godfather, Norman Jay MBE and his Good Times Sound System has entertained and educated revelers since the 1980's, bringing new soul, hip hop and house music to the masses. The founder and master of funk and soul brings has been bringing his irrepressible Good Times vibe to his favourite Brixton rooftop for more than 10 years, and we look forward to welcoming Norman back for the start of his 2023 season this Easter Sunday.
