Animals Dancing is very excited to return for their second party with Harri from Glasgow’s Sub Club, on the 28th of May at The Mercat Basement.
His 14 year Subculture residency at the Sub Club (home to recently closed Optimo Espacio), has been a major foundation for the clubs reputation as one of the premier dance venues in the UK, while his 5 year run at Plastic People with Kenny Hawkes was regarded as one of the best House nights of the 90’s. Among countless accolades, Harri has been named in DJ Magazine’s top 100 two years in a row and although he regularly tours Europe and the USA, this is his first trip to our shores.
Aside from his DJing, Harri has been releasing music under many aliases, such as Daddy’s Favourite, The Papa Washington Trio, H Foundation and his own name, whilst also releasing others music on his Tax Discs label. His current work has seen him regularly team up with Graeme Clark AKA The Revenge, for their Harri & The Revenge and Burnt Island Casuals projects. Their work has been released on various labels including Under the Shade/Jisco, Five20East, Nordic Trax, L.E.S.S. Productions, Deep Freeze and Bosh.
Expect to see Harri on the decks for at least 3 hours, in the perfectly suited Mercat Basement.
Supporting him, is Melbournes latest international exports, A+O (AKA Andee Frost and Ooh-Ee), whose latest track, ‘Take Me’, signed to stilove4music, has just been featured on the Juan Maclean's DJ Kicks compilation, and has been receiving solid reviews from Pitchfork and others.
Tornado Wallace, aka Lewie Day, is also riding high on the back of his ‘That’s The Thing’ release, with support from Laurent Garnier, Steve Bug, 6th Borough Project and others. His first Tornado Wallace release, ‘Tornado Never Dies’, is to be put out on Sleazy Beats with another to come on the highly regarded Delusions of Grandeur.
Otologic (‘C’ Grade) and Myles Mac & Andy Hart (Melbourne Deepcast) round up the support.
