  • Ricardo Villalobos (CHI – Perlon) Ricardo Villalobos is certainly the most popular dj for our Fuse clubbers. Every sets he made in Brussels was synonym of big souvenirs for everyone present. Ricardo Villalobos is a Chilean-German electronic music producer and DJ. He is well-known for his work in the minimal techno and microhouse genres, and is one of the most significant figures in today's minimal techno scene. Last year documentary about Villa (called ‘Villalobos’) shows him in today’s life. A funny way to entered the master’s atmosphère. Based in Switzerland, Luciano found this perfect and personal way of bringing fresh air to minimal techno music. Alone or sometimes with friends (Ricardo Villalobos, Loco Dice, …) Luciano got the keys to open the beach in front of an unforgetable deep blue sea. More than in a club, Luciano dj set at Fuse on the Beach will be one the best moment of the day ! Raresh (RO - [a:rpia:r]) Often nicknamed as Ricardo Villalobos junior, Raresh is one of the youngest and freshest techno dj and producer of the moment. Coming from Romania alongside his friends Rhadoo and Pedro, they all founded their label : [a:rpia:r]. Everybody who were at Fuse 15 years party can’t forget the way this young romanian shake the big Tour & Taxi dancefloor last year. Nearly one year day by day, Raresh is back to swith you off. If you didn’t understand what each stop of Raresh at Fuse mean, just prepare yourself to fly High and land off slowly two hours later. Ben Klock (DE – Berghain) Berlin born DJ, producer and label owner Ben Klock is without a doubt one of the most influential players in recent Techno history. As a resident at Berghain he has been able to leave his mark on the club’s sound since its opening in 2004. Ben Klock is familar to Fuse club and he often come to Brussels club to spread the typical Berghain vibe. Over the last few year’s Ben Klock’s tracks, be it solo or with his sparring partner Marcel Dettmann, found their way into a lot of DJ’s boxes. Similar to his DJ sets, his music is steeped as much in the experience of Techno in the 90s, as it is breathing fresh air into a more than 20 years old genre. Hence, fusing the old with the new comes natural to him. His album ‘One’ is considered by lot’s of techno freaks as the best 2009 techno album ! More infos http://www.residentadvisor.net/feature.aspx?1193 Marcel Dettman (DE – Berghain) Also know very familar to Fuse club, Marcel Dettmann is one of the supporting pillars of the Berghain sound: Powerful, sexy and knowing in the right sense. One could also say he knows his edutainment. Since 1999 Marcel is and has been a steady fixture at both the old OstGut and the new Berghain. The classic sounds of Chicago and Detroit have had a huge influence on him, but Marcel also says that „the music and the sets have to work, should have a soul and be ignorant of boundaries. I re-invent my dj philosophy for every new set, location and night. Generally, it is very important to me to play as varied as possible sets fusing classic tracks with the contemporary ones. Have a look at records stores, Dettman’s new album is about to be released really soon. Reboot (live) (DE – Cadenza) Reboot, aka Frank Heinrich, the 30-year-old Frankfurt musician, started releasing tracks for Combi.int and i220 with his former partner Delle in the duo Delle-Heinrich. Frank's most convincing arguments are his stunning live performances and his DJ-sets. Reboot will play live in Zeebrugge for Fuse on the Beach. His live sets can be described as sexy and pumping. For the last years Frank has been a regular feature on the electronic dance music scene in Europe playing at clubs such as Cocoon Club, Panoramabar, Club 11, Sueno, Spartacus and of course… Fuse ! His master hit ‘Caminando’ is still in everybody’s head. A legend says that the original is from Villalobos own uncle. Robert Dietz (DE – Cadenza - Cecille) Another wizards from Luciano’s Cadenza crew. Robert Dietz will also take the sun in Zeebrugge on July 3rd. Instead of towing the line, Dietz grew up craving rebel music. His fascination with sound began with banging together his mother’s pots and pans till she caved and bought him a real drum kit. Soon he was studying piano and guitar, and listening to everything from synth-pop to hardcore hip hop. By age 17 he’d developed a serious vinyl habit, mixing on friends’ decks until he scraped together the funds to buy his own. His road leads him to Cadenza records and to Fuse on the Beach. Robert is also well known for his work on Nick Curly’s ‘Cecille imprint. Think about last year’s hit «Sunshower», No doubt about a sunshower on July 3rd ! Seth Troxler (USA – Spectral - Circus company) Seth's DJ career started in Detroit in 2002 at the age of 16 as a frequent Dj at Detroit club The Works and as a clerk at Detroit's famous Melodies and Memories record store. With these experiences Seth gained a preternatural understanding of rave, and dance music history, that now allows him to conjours up mixes and tracks like Botticelli conjoured his Venus. Aswell as being a resident at Berlin's legendary Club der Visionäre. Seth is also a bi monthly party host, and resident DJ at Berlin Weekend Club, and Cityfox's new club Alte Borse in Zurich, w/ friends Ryan Crosson and Shaun Reeves. Seth recently mixed the fifth volume of B-Pitch Control quality Boogybytes compilations. Shed live (DE – Berghain) Resident dj at Berghain in Berlin, Shed is an exciting german dj/producer. At Fuse on the Beach, Shed will play live. . A formula you also expose yourself to when attending one of his DJ or live gigs. You can expect a never-ending climax of the groove. Like it was in the founding days of the music, which today is a part of our culture. Shed is one of the few producers and DJs out there who knows that you cannot write about the future without a nod to tradition. Nick Höppner (DE – Berghain) Currently residing in his home of choice and calling, Berlin, Nick Höppner skillfully balances, explores and contributes to a dramatically wide range of musical professions, proving him to be one of the backbones of today's house and techno underground. Be it through his monthly residencies at the inimitable Berghain/Panoramabar and Watergate clubs, his solo releases for Ostgut Ton, his expansive DJ touring, his acclaimed co-production and live performances alongside Lee Jones as MyMy, or indeed his creative involvement and management of the Ostgut label since its inception, Nick stands out as a unique, long-serving and truly dedicated figure in today's electronic music world. Don’t miss him in Zeebrugge ! Peter Van Hoesen (BE – Fuse resident) When it comes down to combining the best of many musical worlds, Peter Van Hoesen can say he's been doing it for a while now. Deeply rooted in the Brussels electronic music scene as DJ and producer since 1993, he's considered by many as a man with multiple musical talents: from straight-up dancefloor jackin' techno to advanced abstract electronica. His music has been released on his own labels Time To Express and Foton as well as through Berlin's Lan Muzic and Brussels-based Meakusma. He's active as a DJ, producer, sound designer and composer for contemporary dance and theatre. Peter is also our newly Fuse resident dj ! Pierre (BE – Fuse resident) Pierre has been DJing for more than 20 years. After reputable residencies at club 55 (Kortrijk) and Cafe D'Anvers (Antwerp), he earned the top of them all at Fuse club and after a 15 year residency he has DJed alongside the best DJ’s in the world and is still maddening the crowd each weekend. Pierre has also been many times voted 'Best Belgian DJ' by the readers of Outsoon, Belgium's most popular dance magazine. As well as playing across most of the Belgian clubs and festivals, he plays extensive dates at monster clubs and huge parties throughout Europe: Rex (Paris), Mazzo (Amsterdam), The End (London), U60311 (Frankfurt), Watergate and Arena club (Berlin) Dance Valley, Mayday... and the rest of the world (South Africa, Mexico, Singapore, Moscow...). In 2003 international resonance leaded to a new residency at the infamous Angel Dust parties at le Triptyque in Paris. In 2004 as co-founder and resident of a brand new party concept, P3P, Pierre strongly started to innovate the Belgian Electronic scene over 2 years. In 2005, continuously searching to improve and take new challenges, Pierre decided with Jessica Bossuyt to create their own brand [LesIzmo:r] to represent quality techno parties across Europe and also a booking and promotion agency.
