Rebekah is one of techno’s standout names in any context. Raised in the much-heralded Birmingham techno scene and now based in Berlin, her music is unapologetically full force, pursuing peak time intensity with the unflinching intensity of a hunter seeking its prey. On her own Elements label, she basks in creative free rein, sculpting absolutely crushing hardcore-inflected techno with razor sharp sound design. Still, amidst the deluge of chaos she always finds elegant threads to tease out, giving her tracks a consistent signature. Amsterdam’s Talismann brings a more sinister, slow-burning and even ritualistic approach. On his series of Percussion albums, metallic sonics blend with stark, unnerving atmospheres. His high speed loop techno still feels luxuriously paced, working often in small gestures that bring a huge mood. As his name suggests, there’s something alchemical, or perhaps spiritual, beckoning at the core of his tracks. Lychee and Guilt Attendant meet up for a b2b. They make a perfect pair: both have a knack for slithering, reptilian techno, peppered with snappy percussive moments and a healthy dose of wonked-out mindbenders.
Club Night Club takes over STUDIO. The revered NY party has become the home for UK post-bass/club hybrids in the US. For this special collaboration with the club, they invite erstwhile New Yorker Huerco S. The Incienso artist is one of the modern era’s most elusive and fascinating presences. After an initial foray a decade ago into grungy outsider house, he released the epochal “For Those Of You Who Have Never (And Also Those Who Have),” a modern masterpiece of ambient music. Since then, he’s stretched the template set forth on that record in surprising directions. In his DJ sets, however, he can be a galvanizing presence. Imbuing his sets with the tactility of his ambient works but pushing the energy, he offers a bracing counterpoint to his languid recordings. DEBONAIR is one of London’s finest. The longtime Programme Director for NTS, her sets are unstoppable rides across genres and eras, defined by impeccable taste and a keen ear for common ground between disparate artists. DEBONAIR weaves a complex tapestry and never lets the stitches show. Club Night Club organizers Significant Other and Only Child complete the lineup. Significant Other is known as much for his productions as his DJ set - he’s an expert at both. Working with coveted labels like Well Street and Youth, his music bridges both haunting ambience and cracking club beatdowns. Only Child brings a bright, snappy clarity to the booth. Balancing the UK flavor with a dose of American bluntness, Only Child brings a thrilling spin to a style that already dances on the edge.
