Sonar Kollektiv and Warm join forces to bring you a very special club session to launch Jazzanovas Secret Love 3 compilation. For one night only Sonar Kollektiv and Warm will take over the Big Chill House with a very special live performance by new Sonar Kollektiv signing Thief as well as dj sets from Jazzanova, Seiji, Resoul and the Warm Residents.
For Secret Love 3 Jazzanova return with another little box of secret twisted folk gems specially selected over the last twelve months whilst digging through record shops across the world. This time we are treated to a more electronic slant but one that still sits closely to that folk twist. The selectors might be known for their dance floor sensibilities, but like most people in the music industry, its not all about one style. This compilation shows us another side to Jazzanova.
Alongside Jazzanova tonight is Thief who is Sonar Kollektivs latest signing. Thief creates the link between Nick Drake, Jazzanova and Kraftwerk on one album. Thief grew up in Berlin. Having worked with Extended Spirit aka two thirds of Jazzanova on his debut LP (due for release in 2007) the style is completely unique, simple and complex all at the same time. Tonight Thief will play live with his full 3 piece band. Do not miss this!
We also welcome one eighth of Bugz in the Attic in the form of Seiji who will be playing alongside Jazzanova as well as Berlins; very own Resoul the man behind Soultrade record shop and also fellow compiler of Secret Love series with Jazzanova.
