Here we go! Prepare yourselves for all things rave at our bank holiday special in April when we bring Pete Cannon, T-Cuts, X Nation & Jungalice to the Volks Nightclub.
We’ll be taking you on a journey through time blending and bending genres with sounds spanning the 30+ years of our beautiful scene.
Hardcore, jungle & breaks will be the focus of the evening but we have encouraged all acts including our entire crew of Cobra residents to dig deep & showcase their favourite rave sounds of any style (plus of course a healthy dose of dnb for the late-night crew). This one’s gonna be a rollercoaster.
PETE CANNON
Originally from Blackpool and now residing in London Pete Cannon has carved a successful music career from adopting the original retro hardware and software from the birth of the 90's rave scene.
Member of hip-hop collectives Surreal Knowledge and Tactical Thinking & label boss of N4 Records, Pete Cannon is now an internationally renowned artist producing tracks for the likes of Foreign Beggars, Inja, Action Bronson, Dr Syntax and the list goes on.
N4 records is a jungle and hardcore label. Established in 2019 and named after the artist's London home, N4 records has produced ten vinyl releases that have had sell-out success. Pete famously makes his music on vintage hardware and his N4 EPs have been a driving force in the jungle scene's renaissance. N4 has found support from legends like Aphex Twin from its inception and has been celebrated in the likes of Mixmag and DJ Mag.
A producer, DJ, Vocalist and label owner, his diverse music knowledge - which stretches from hip-hop to house, hardcore and jungle - has made him a household name within the dance music scene and we cannot be more excited to have him showcase his work down at Brighton’s favourite underground music venue.
T-CUTS
Brighton based DJ/producer and label boss of Mined, T-Cuts has a number of releases under his own label who have most recently joined forces with Pete Cannon's N4 Records to release a 4 track EP of old-school rave era influenced Jungle. An advocate for the vinyl and rave culture, T-Cuts can be seen all over the country and we can't wait to welcome him back for another Cobra Sound event.
X NATION
Heavily jungle and oldschool influenced, X Nation has been dedicated to the music since the 90s with a rough and uncompromising sound. While running his own label Foundation X he has also seen releases on the likes of Rupture, Inneractive, DSCI4, Scientific Wax, Originate, Kingdom Records, Renegade Weed, 117, Jungle Alliance and more.
