Anthony Rother is an Electro/Techno Producer/Live Act from Frankfurt, Germany Described as an influential visionary,Anthony is an electro pioneer and one of electronic music’s most prolific producers. For more than two decades Rother aggregated a vast musical canon that reflects his unique career as a sound researcher exploring the aesthetics far beyond the boundaries of electro, techno and pop music. Detroit in Effect (D.I.E.) is production duo made up of Tameko J. Williams (aka DJ Maaco) and Odell Perry (aka P-Dog), the group steadily released 12″ singles throughout the late 90s and early 00s, usually on their own M.A.P. (Maaco & P-Dog, in case you were wondering) label but occasionally on Europe’s Clone. They also recorded as Cybonix. And they didn’t leave many clues. Bergsonist allows inspiration to come from anywhere, yet she/he limits themselves by the gear/tools that are used. The approach consists of inhaling all the energy of the city — influenced by trips to museums, galleries, shows, talking to people and sensing nature — and exhaling it sonically. Bergsonist reacts to this energy and inspiration without any specific rules, styles or genres — extending the array of possibilities by always pushing preconceived uses of the tools.
