ANGEL HO (LIVE) ❥
Angel-Ho draws inspiration from Björk, Missy Elliott and Lady Gaga, icons whose personas are integral to their music. The South African artist's own persona is full of fantasy, exuding luxury and femininity. She uses the internet, particularly Instagram, to transmit futuristic fashion and multimedia art from a niche corner of the experimental music world. But this isn't entirely for the sake of performance. While under the public eye, Angel came out as a trans woman.
Angel-Ho first started making music in 2015, responding to the colonialism of her home country, and with the conception of NON Worldwide, the record label and collective that she co-founded with Chino Amobi and Nkisi, she explored the way that culture and community intersect online. The label helped incubate talent like Argentina’s fierce tango artist MORO, the thunderous club sounds of South African gqom trio Rudeboyz, and her own earliest releases, like the gun-wielding, caustic “Miss Kitty”. NON is currently on indefinite hiatus, but since then Angel-Ho has joined Hyperdub (home to Burial, Fatima Al Qadiri, Laurel Halo, and others) and become the closest thing to a pop star that the UK experimental label has represented.

DONNA CANDY (LIVE) ❥
Issu de la scène DIY de Marseille, Donna Candy propose un son lourd sur amplis. Leur musique est issue des influences aventureuses et étranges des sous-genres du rock experimental.
Le trio se compose d’une basse aux riffs massifs d’inspiration Nu metal, d’une voix fuzzillée en switch-pitch bien monster complétée d’une batterie furieuse aux cymbales explosives.
Par des patterns extrêmes et des changements de tempos le groupe nous embarque dans un voyage déformant. Comme si l’on se trouvait dans la caisse d’un flipper illuminé et clignotant, rythmé par une balle métallique envoyée à toute allure. Similaire à l’expérience cathartique et émotionnelle de la rave party, le dancefloor est ici revisité à la sauce extreme-rock.

LIVING GATLATO ❥
With one foot in the wretched and the other in the sublime, Living Gatlato’s (Living “Killed Him”) sonic landscape is rooted in contradiction. The sound of capitalist alienation, neuroses and anxiety, wrapped around unexpected moments of ecstatic joy. Born to British-Algerian parents, LG is based between Marseille and London, where he has a monthly residency on NTS Radio - a space in which he shares fringe and experimental club music he feels is underrepresented yet may provide the blueprints to future club culture.
As an instigator of the fragile bedrock that is London’s free party scene, LG is known as DJ and promoter mostly of illegal and meanwhile spaces of the city, having thrown countless raves himself over the years. This has imparted a lifelong affinity with soundsystem culture and the outernational energies that filter through London from afar and seep up from below, not to mention a desire to centre dancefloors as political space (and to make them freaky again).

OKO DJ ❥
Originally from Paris, Marine Tordjemann alias OKO DJ’s impeccable taste for the weird and wonderful has seen her establish as one of the finest DJs and producers to pace the world’s stages.
Tordjemann is a core element of Judaah’s label Brothers From Different Mothers, and one half of the duos ơཞɠąŋıƈ ƈąɬɧɛɖཞąƖ ơʄ ɖɛąɬɧ and Women in the Royal Court, respectively alongside producers Eiger Drums Propaganda and Tryphème. OKO DJ is also the instigator of LYL Radio’s Parisian antenna where she has been hosting her show Pu$$y Nightmare for half a decade. Pu$$y Nightmare has since evolved into a unique series of events shining a light on female and non-binary artists, by opening a magical artistic and psychedelic space in which OKO DJ systematically guides an energetic ritual.
In her sets, Marine aims at exploring connections rather than divisions, dishing out distinctively rich, genre-busting tapestries that transcend all limitative roles.
As a producer, artist and energetic healer, Tordjemann is a master at channeling surrounding energies and forces in her art with unrestrained panache and authenticity. She is greatly inspired by the power of nature and the sacred divine feminine; That’s how she crafted an acclaimed first mini-album between downtempo and experimental on Futur 2010 about the teachings of the Cycle, featuring «one of the coolest downtempo tracks of the year» (RA).
There is definitely a lot more to expect in the future from OKO DJ, as her inspiration seems to keep growing along her personal and spiritual journey.
