For our next auditory adventure, we’ll be cutting a slice from a different cloth - join us for an intimate night of smooth spreads and meticulous risers at Tapestry. Placed in the heart of Kensington, this venue has become a hotbed of talent showcasing members of Toronto’s diverse local music community.
Our headlining act needs little to no introduction. Dan Only is a Toronto-based, Juno-Nominated, Producer, Musician and DJ. He’s also a Red Bull Bass Camp MTL 2015 Alum. He’s also one half of the electronic duo, Cloudsteppers, a collaborative project with fellow Toronto producer Ciel. With releases on 3024, X-Kalay, Dirt Crew, New Kanada and Hâws, Dan Only is steadily carving out a discography that touches on all dimensions of his sonic explorations. Committed to the rhythm and his tools, his strong appetite for hardware demands that he cultivates a relationship between himself and his machines.
Another local rising star in their own right is none other than Ficilio - a producer, deejay, record slinger, and DIY scene mainstay. Emerging with his debut EP ‘Dangerous Goods’ on local label Parallel Minds, his dialed in sound delivers spaced out commotion, off-kilter rhythms and dubby exploration. Subtle, yet powerful, his music boasts a cool and calculated touch, bringing to mind the space and sound of the earliest dubstep records. Behind the decks, he corresponds with his production style while spanning a handful of genres - making him adaptable to a variety of spaces and places.
As always, our resident DJ’s will be sure to keep your feet warm and your hearts full as we crank up the thermostat deep into the night.
