In Zeiten, in denen ganze Staaten in historischen Backflips daran arbeiten, Queerness unlebbar zu machen, ist es umso wichtiger, queeres Leben laut und unüberhörbar auf die Tagesordnung zu setzen. HOLEY will ihren Beitrag dazu leisten. Im Herzen Münchens, zwei Steinwürfe (sic!) von der Herzkammer der christsozialen (lol!) Agenda entfernt soll sich ein Raum entfalten für queeren Sound, queere Kunst, queere Performance jeder Couleur.
Welchem Buchstaben der Community mensch sich auch zuordnet, oder vielleicht auch den richtigen für sich noch nicht gefunden hat – HOLEY will einen Raum bieten für Exzess wie Erfahrungen, für Entfaltung wie für Experimente. Always safe, not necessarily always sane. Unser Sound ist queer, unsere Kunst ist queer, unser Anspruch ist queer. And we want you to be queer with us.
Die erste Ausgabe der HOLEY wird musikalisch untermalt und dick unterstrichen von Boris, Ostguts charismatischer musikalischer Allzweckwaffe in Sachen… well, in jeder Sache. Disco? Check. Post-Punk? Check. Techno? Check; BW, Holey-Resident der ersten Stunde und Connaisseur treibender Grooves, Vocals und Melodien; Dirty Daddy Don, dessen Name mehr über sein Programm aussagt als alles andere; sowie Gerald VDH, kraftstrotzender Techno-Afficionado und Wiener Mastermind queerer Veranstaltungsperlen wie Meat Market, Mutter und F*ckenPlus.

In times of constantly whipping backlashes against queer life around the globe, it is all the more important to make queer life more visible than ever. HOLEY wants to do its bit by advancing the queer agenda throughout Munich’s nightlife, amidst the capitol of German conservative policymaking. We want to create a safe space for queer art, sound, and life to unfold.
No matter your place among the letters of LGBT+, or even if you haven’t found your right spot there yet, you have a place at HOLEY. We want to provide a space for experiences, experiments, and away from expectations.
The sonical priming coat for the first edition of HOLEY will be served by the following four: Boris, Ostgut’s charismatic all-time favorite in matters of, well, everything. Disco? Post-punk? Techno? He’s got those ones in the bag; BW, resident DJ of Holey, master of driving grooves, swinging vocals, and haunting melodies; Dirty Daddy Don, whose name honestly tells you all you’ve got to know; and Gerald VDH, Viennese Techno-afficionado and mastermind behind queer success stories like Meat Market, Mutter, and F*ckenPlus.
So, Munich, you better giddy up! ‘cause we’re getting for a queer ride!
