On June 3rd we will host our first birthday, and we prepared a special party with some stellar DJs.
Since it’s gonna be a warm and beautiful day in the beginning of summer, the party will be spread across the evening and night, starting with an open air at 6 pm in the courtyard and continuing inside after 9.30pm till late.
Come have a dance and celebrate RITMO RITMO’s first birthday.
Guests:
- Coline Cornélis, one of the most interesting brussels-based DJs, with her sets ranging from gentle ambient to sweaty bass. Coline is a selector or rare songs and recordings which she interweaves in order to form unusual mixes. Defined by Pitchfork as “storm-tossed, thoughtful and Luminous”, her work has been showcased at notable venues like HORST Festival, Dour, Paradise City, La Nature, Fuse, C12, Cafe Oto (London), and many more.
- Catalina, Kiosk Radio and Bruzz resident. A Romania-via-London transplant which will bring us a colorful mutation of left-field electro, breaks and house. She’s made a name for herself by exploring the chemistry between deconstructed weighty, percussive tempos and aquatic melodies, all the while borrowing elements from her musical beginnings in the UK.
- Feel Fly has been defined as the linchpin of the underground by Gerd Janson himself. He is back in Brussels after two acclaimed releases on International Feel and Prins Thomas’ Internasjonal. His music is a journey between worlds and eras that are only apparently opposed: evocative, emotional and ethereal atmospheres merged with more House, Disco and Cosmic sounds.
Party first and foremost as an exercise of freedom.
The experience we aim to deliver is deeply rooted in house music, not being afraid of showcasing its diverse sides, from the most euphoric to the deepest ones. RITMO RITMO also straddles the lines between Breaks, Disco and Techno. Bringing people together in an inclusive, genuine and light-hearted environment is what it’s really about.
