  • Join Aduna - one of the UK’s most creative organisations which builds partnerships with Africa - on a remarkable night of music to fundraise for their work. Aduna is looking for your help to raise money to set up training programmes for young African artists. "Aduna is delighted to have the support of our highly talented and well-respected friends from the music world. The evening will enable us to showcase the important work Aduna does with children and young people in the UK and in Africa. We hope to harness the enthusiasm of the audience to help us expand our cultural programmes." - Elsie Owusu, OBE, Acting Chair, Aduna The funds raised will also support Aduna’s work in the UK which uses the performing arts from Africa to counter social and educational exclusion. Aduna promotes positive images of the continent and employs music to counter negative stereotypes all too commonly associated with Africa. The evening features an awesome, never-seen-together-before line-up of UK-based musicians who support Aduna’s work. They will bring the best of dance music, techno, breakbeat, soul and rare grooves as well as sounds from Africa and her diaspora. Don’t miss this unique night! Get ready for an audio adventure and dig deep into your pockets to support Aduna’s work with emerging African musicians. "Music is universal and the spirit of Aduna's work, in both the UK and in Africa, is to use it to help kids to communicate and learn. Going to Africa was life-changing for me. I strongly support Aduna and can't think of a more innovative organisation that encourages young people in both settings to go on new musical journeys together.” - Norman Cook (Fatboy Slim) "Having visited Mali recently, I've seen how much people can get out of exchanging ideas and influences. I saw music that was an instinctive, transcended genre. I'm sure that any assistance by way of education or infrastructure will be rewarded ten-fold creatively." - Zane Lowe, BBC Radio 1 "Aduna's work is important because it brings young people from the UK and Africa together. Using music to increase understanding and collaboration can only be a good thing!” - Preston, The Ordinary Boys
