Mister Saturday Night returns from the great outdoors back underground to his favorite venue in all of New York City – the wonderful 12-Turn-13 loft in Clinton Hill. The space, if you’ve never been there, is the home of the man who’s been occasionally and selectively co-producing events with folks like us for what we think has been ten years. The DJ booth is set up in the kitchen, on top of the stove, which looks out into the raw and spacious (but still cozy) living room that serves as the main dancefloor of the space.
The crown jewel of 12-Turn-13 is its roof, which will come in especially handy on this warm, July evening. There’s about as much room to chat, cool off and wander under the stars as there is dancing space.
In addition to the great locale, all the other ingredients that make Mister Saturday Night what it is will be in place: a nicely stocked bar, pleasant folks at the door to greet you, and good, good music.
Tonight, teaming up with residents Justin Carter and Eamon Harkin, is Jeremy Greenspan of Junior Boys. This isn’t just a celebrity set from a band you love, though. Jeremy is a bona fide disc jockey, having released a top-notch mix CD on K7 a couple years back, and spending plenty of time around the world mixing records.
Beers will be on the house for the hour of the evening, and the vibe will be right all night. We’ll see you then and there.
