Seit 15 Jahren führt Bill Kouligas sein Label und die multidisziplinäre Plattform PAN an den Schnittstellen von neuartiger elektronischer Musik und visuellen Künsten. Als Künstler experimentiert er selbst mit verschiedenen Medien und kreiert mehrdimensionale Werke in Form von Sound, Bild und Performance. Diesen Ansatz hat ihn sowohl in Clubs und auf Festivals, als auch in Institutionen wie dem MoMa PS1, den Münchener Kammerspielen oder Londons Institute of Contemporary Arts geführt. Zwischen E und U grätschen auch viele der Künstler*innen, die Kouligas zur heutigen PAN Labelnacht in die Panorama Bar eingeladen hat. Juliana Huxtable zum Beispiel stellt gerade die Ausstellung USSYPHILIA aus, die ab September im neuen Berliner Museum für zeitgenössische Fotografie, Fotografiska, zeitgenössische Diskurse über Geschlecht, Race, Identität, Queerness und Sexualität untersuchen wird. Der französische Produzent Low Jack wiederum hat im vergangenen Jahr mit Baiser Hotel einen Soundtrack für eine Performance, die zusammen mit der Rapperin Lala &ce im Pariser Bourse de Commerce – Pinault Collection stattgefunden hat, auf PAN veröffentlicht.
For 15 years, Bill Kouligas has been running the label and the multidisciplinary platform PAN, situated at the intersection of pioneering electronic music and visual arts. As an artist himself, he experiments with different media, creating multidimensional works in the form of sound, image and performance. This approach has taken him to international clubs and festivals as well as institutions such as MoMa PS1, Münchener Kammerspiele and London's Institute of Contemporary Arts. Likewise, many of the acts Kouligas is bringing to this edition of the PAN label night at Panorama Bar straddle the line between club culture and art. Juliana Huxtable, for example, is currently exhibiting USSYPHILIA, which will explore current discourse on gender, race, identity, queerness and sexuality at Berlin's new museum for contemporary photography, Fotografiska, starting in September. French producer Low Jack, meanwhile, released Baiser Hotel on PAN last year, the soundtrack to a performance that took place with rapper Lala &ce at Bourse de Commerce – Pinault Collection in Paris.
