ELLEN ALLIEN (bpitch)
Ellen Allien is on the go: as a dj, producer, label owner and fashion producer she is not only crossing medias, but rather tries connecting all available genres in independent culture. The Berlin based whirlwind started her profession in the late 90ies, shortly after the wall came down.
But her passion for music started a long time before in her childhood: teaching herself how to read notes and a jukebox with a collection of singles in her room. As a kid she idolized David Bowie. Not surprisingly, Ellen Allien is probably the closest person techno boasts to Bowie–an ambitious innovator and powerhouse; she shapeshifts nearly as often as she packs a crate of twelves and jumps on a red-eye.
PAUL RITCH LIVE (quartz)
Paul Ritch has managed to create a unique style of agile minimal techno, which being rhythmic and penetrating, is charged with pure adrenaline. Sounds in which, with his personal mark, his passion and power transmit numerous memorable music moments for the listener.
In a relatively short time, Paul Ritch has demonstrated he is prolific and shrewd, and is now a recognised figure on the worldwide electronic music scene. And not just as a producer (Resopal and Get Phisical), but also on stage, having played in important events like WMC, DEMF, The End, Goa, Amore Festival, Bergahin and The Pressure.
He is currently breathing life into the Quartz Rec label, an offering which promises reactive and incisive minimal sounds, made to measure by Paul Ritch.
M.A.N.D.Y
Patrick Bodmer and Phillip Jung join forces to create the electronic production duo that we all know and love as M.A.N.D.Y. Taking the world by storm with their releases such as Fabric’s esteemed mix CD series (2008) and the Renaissance Mix Collection (2009), performances at Love Parade, Watergate in Berlin and Monza in Ibiza; M.A.N.D.Y. have come full circle since their humble beginnings in the acid house days of the 80’s.
As prominent label owners of Get Physical, Get Digital and Kindisch, alongside DJ T and Booka Shade, M.A.N.D.Y. are at the top of their game. Famed for their excellent productions, in-demand remixes, top-notch mixing skills and a knack for signing some of the best electronic music of recent times.
