Join us for the first event of RA’s new series, RA Community Connections (or RA CC), a series of daytime events, radio shows, meetups and workshops in collaboration with local collectives, community spaces, record stores and radio stations. Coordinated and co-organised by RA’s Global Contributor Network, this series brings together the multitude of voices that shape the local electronic music communities.
For the inaugural event in Montreal we teamed up with local vinyl institution, label and community hub La Rama Records to co-curate the lineup for the event. Represented by Kris Guilty, La Rama will host a pop-up record sale with Montreal based artists and labels at the intimate OSMO X MARUSAN Café, a space merging music, coffee, and Japanese cuisine.
Shift Radio is our second collaborator and will be streaming this event live on their channels. Founded in late 2020 after a visit to Brussels, Audrey and Charles combined their experiences with online radio and planted a seed in the Montreal scene that grew into what Shift Radio is now: a Montreal-based independent web radio station dedicated to promoting the abundance and diversity of Montreal's electronic music scene through livestreams carefully selected by people, not algorithms. Normally broadcasting weekly from the SAT, for this event the team have set up shop at OSMO x MARUSAN for this special RA CC event.
