La Rumba host two exclusive live shows in the unique settings of Factory Floor this summer to showcase two exciting Sheffield-based artists off the back of our link up with Migration Matters Festival, bringing Rumbi Tauro and the global supergroup, Sauti Sol, to Leadmill for their final ever Northern UK show.
This next one sees the eclectically wonderful Yarni performing a solo electronic set on a late summer evening with live projections and hazers for an immersive audio-visual experience at Factory Floor on their world-class Danley Audio sound system install.
The self-taught multi-instrumentalist has been on our radar for a while, having released three critically-acclaimed over the last two years which have earned high praise from the likes of Luke Una, Gilles Peterson, Lauren Laverne, and the late great Andrew Weatherall.
Cutting his teeth across various venues in Sheffield with his full live band and DJ sets, Yarni’s turning up the heat with this one by taking a deeper electronica approach with a table full of live gear to witness in person on Friday June 30th.
Support comes from La Rumba throughout the evening and into the late morning.
We’ve made the conscious decision to make this show free entry in light of the ongoing cost of living crisis with the option to make a donation of £6.00 in support of the artists, promoter, and the Sheffield scene, as any ticket profits will be donated to Mondo Radio’s Emergency Fundraiser.
Entry to this event will be ticketed which are first come, first served, capped at 2 per person with drinks discounts offered to ticket holders. Capacity is extremely limited at this venue so please do not abuse the free ticket option if you do not plan to attend.
