Friends, welcome back to our annual midsummer love in. Let us braid each other’s armpit hair, cleanse our noses with blessed poppers, jump gleefully over the bonfires and broken becks bottles and stomp until sunrise.
LINE UP
*Prangers*
First up playing live is Rochdale based three piece Prangers. Their totally mind blowing cacophony of deeply hypnotic and clanging psychedelic ruminations is truly a sight to behold. They combine thunderous and heavily textured percussion, wormhole grooves, spoken words, manipulated field recordings and flailing bleeps. It’s truly some of the most original music we’ve heard in a very long time.

Next on the bill is a super exciting *never-seen-before* meeting of musical minds. Abena is a DJ that we respect most highly. A founding member of Manc mega cru AHOD and in demand artist in their own right; Abena mines those sweet musical peripheries that keep dance floors inspiring places. They will be playing alongside our resident ginger spuds and astral traveller - schuttle. The pair share a love of sludgery, submarine basslines, and the not to infrequent *woi* moment. Apologies in advance if Bitzer reaches his spindly fingers through the cage for an unwarranted wheel up.
*DJ Mon T*
Coming in hot like a locomotive of trippy bangers is our fav after party DJ, making his White Hotel debut - DJ Mon T, aka Reggae Pete, aka Party Pete, aka The Nutty Professor. Mon T has the most impeccable taste in dance music, their dedication to the dig is always an inspiration and imo it’s people like this that keep the scene ticking over. Quietly putting in the hours, turning folks on to bombs, amassing the spiritual platters. It is high time Mon T receives his due.
*Oblong Frog*
Returning to close up shop, it's Bakk Heia’s estranged brother - Oblong Frog. We will be issuing tissues cos there’s gonna be tears on the floor. Frog stepping joyfully between chaotic rave-aggedon and those tender hearted moments that instantly bring you joy when you have flash backs to them on a dull Tuesday morning at work.
