- For the next installment of Eklipze we are going to have the pleasure to host a unique crop of DJ's that are very talented and creative on the decks and have a bright future. The main headliner, SHADI MEGALLAA is a very charismatic and talented DJ that can move the crowd at any place and dance floor on this planet and beyond. We also are bringing back HOJ, from Listed to come back and bring his magic, that is his trademark. We are going to showcase the very best local talented DJ's that NYC has to offer. He gets bored easily, and he doesn’t really like rules. He just likes music, and he keeps his eyes and ears wide open … deriving inspiration from anywhere and everywhere. This openness translates directly to his performances. Hoj is able to build a unique relationship with the crowd, a dialogue in which both DJ and dance floor feed off each other. Around the world dance floors are gravitating toward him … and with that connection comes the vibe. Hoj grew up in the underground San Francisco dance music community, getting an early education in the culture. In 1998 he hung up his sneakers and started DJ’ing. Over the years Hoj has toured across the US and abroad. He was a founding member of the Opulent Temple, the largest sound camp at the Burning Man Festival, and he returns to play there annually. He’s toured South America and has played major events at the BPM Festival in Mexico as well as the Winter Music Conference. And he has enjoyed privileged spots alongside some of the worlds greatest djs including John Digweed, Carl Cox, Lee Burridge, Steve Lawler, Hernan Cattaneo, Armin Van Buuren, and many more. In 2008, Hoj took his San Francisco dance music roots to New York City. He has a residency with Listed Productions and has launched his own monthly in NYC called BIG. His previous residencies and affiliations with Opel Productions, Spundae, and Looq Records keep him a truly bi-coastal citizen. On the production side, Hoj is half of The Decorators, which have releases on Looq Records. His newest production project, called “Tramp”, keeps him busy tinkering away in the studio when he’s not on the road. Hoj has established himself and his unique style. Although he doesn’t have the attention span to conform to a specific genre, his sound is distinct. His sets are always fresh and surprising … and the vibe is always there. Taught himself the skill of beat matching and studied the art of blending tracks smoothly to perfection with persistence. Began producing music in 1999 and to this day music production is done under the name "Craft Music Productions". He dj's 2/3 times per month on average in the NYC underground minimal scene with the Twice as Proper Sessions crew. He evolved from the old Vinyl-only days to the CDJ’s of all types and now performs live with his all-in-one DJ workstation M-Audio Torq Xponent and has already traveled with the controller to Europe for his Italy Dj tour in various cities and also recently came back from an incredible Costa Rica DJ Tour with Onda Skillet covered by much media attention (major radio, TV and internet). Furthermore, Craft co-created the movement "Twice as Sweet" with Shadi which then merged with Los's "Proper Sessions" resulting in "Twice as Proper Sessions" with an impressive over 100 events and counting in the past 3 years alone with quite an illustrious list of guest DJ bookings. He started promoting electronic events in 1999 (Argentina), then when the beats stared to flow out of his mind, it was time to start experimenting with mixing, shaping, designing sound and songs. Every since then he's been inspired by DJs and cultures from around the world.
