Experimental music festival in Chicago held Thursday August 19th through Sunday August 22nd. While much of the festival aesthetics fall under genres (noise, drone, etc) not often covered by RA, there is a reasonable amount of crossover with some of the artists. Notably, Emeralds, Astral Social Club and Keith Fullerton Whitman have received recent press and/or praise on RA. Others such as Carlos Giffoni, Greg Kelley, and Noveller arguably fit in here just as well as say Florian Hecker, Alva Noto or Ben Frost.
So, just throwing it out there to the RA community. This festival is going to rule and if you're into experimental music, it might be for you.
