Her tunneling, hypnotic sets pulsate with an entrancing energy. An outstanding DJ whose work in electronic music goes back decades, Kimskii creates vortexes that you cannot escape. Umfang’s nervy, vinyl-heavy techno sets draw on a rare sense of rigor. As a DJ, she embraces stark loop techno and tightly-arranged 90s rarities, seeking catharsis through reduction, hypnosis and grit.
Servito brings the jacking power as only he can. The Detroit-born DJ is a definitive artist: a longtime resident of The Bunker, his hit-and-run sets helped to set the standard for modern DJs in the city. Always a force, Servito pulls on the erotically-charged sounds at the root of Chicago house and Detroit’s earliest techno while leapfrogging across decades to pull from all eras and genres - the nastier the better. Dee Diggs similarly reaches back to the classics to design the future. She invoked a lineage of Black, queer dance, luxuriating in the timeless and of-the-moment alike.
