  • Blueprint Records co-founder James Ruskin headlines X-TRA.SERVICES’ 6 year anniversary. He’s one of the UK’s most important techno artists. A peer of Surgeon, Regis and other Oliver Ho, Ruskin made his name in the late ‘90s, when techno’s core language was being reshaped by a younger generation. His granite-thick, tough-as-nails productions soon found a home on Tresor. It can be hard to remember how radical that music sounded at the time, as the next two decades saw countless imitators following Ruskin and co’s lead. But he has stayed staunchly in his own lane, keeping true to the defiant spirit that distinguished him from the beginning. All the while, he’s also nurtured younger generations on Blueprint. Devoye brings out the techno side of his arsenal. The Coloring Lessons artist brings a swaggy soulfulness to everything he does, tempered by a nice roughness around the edges. Chile’s Tomás Urquieta is back. The TraTraTrax artist is one of the most outstanding of a new generation of South American artists reshaping techno. Drawing on the rippling, HD sonics of modern club, he makes techno into a gleaming, pulverizing machine with plenty of the syncopations and rhythmic undulations of his home country, Chile. BASEMENT resident Lydo has become one of NY’s most exceptional voices. They bring a level of craft and artfulness to their sets, with a honed, clear-eyed vision and versatility that is all their own. A set at STUDIO is always a treat; Lydo’s versatility gets a real chance to shine. sekucci’s fizzy, wild approach has been making waves in NY. Her sets are uninhibited, joyous throwdowns with plenty of naughty verve. Similarly, Miss Parker keeps the intensity high and the energy OOC. One of NY’s most vital queer voices, Miss Parker spares no one, going for the jugular with ferocious intent and a strobing, cathartic sensory impact. ■ No photos or videos ■ No phone use on the dancefloor ■ The dance floor is for dancing, not conversation ■ No glowing/flashing clothes or items ■ Respect other people's space, no shuffling ■ Consent is mandatory ■ Zero tolerance for racism, homophobia, transphobia, sexism, ableism or any form of discrimination ■ Take care of each other, alert our staff if somebody isn't feeling well ■ Violating the house rules will result in removal ■ Ticket purchase does not guarantee entrance
