It was just in February that we had the pleasure of hosting the hotly tipped Yazzus from the UK as part of the ecstatic Cruise x Mala Junta party. British dance music never lacked eclecticism and personalities pushing the multifarious, but Yazzus is among the most exciting personalities defining today’s sound. The British-Ghanaian DJ and producer plays and creates a truly rousing sound that’s inspired by the intensity of 90’s hardcore rave, takes Footwork, Jungle, videogame soundtracks and much more into the blender for an equally sweeping and sexy, seductive and sultry storm of music. Her approach of fusing the decidedly black sounds of both sides of the Atlantic gives her already meticulously crafted, high paced mixes more vital, conceptual stability. No wonder she’s one of the scene’s most hyped artists.
Sterac on the other hand is a true veteran among the first wave of European artists to embrace Detroit Techno in the 90s and has added his own mark on this historic formula. He’s been spinning and producing music under a wide range of pseudonyms and styles, making sure each of his musical interests get the love and attention they deserve. It’s pure, focussed techno from a true master of his craft. More potent grooves built on the borders of Breakbeat and Rave come from DJ Plant Texture’s live set that guarantees maximum intensity.
The two local 600-Cell and Elias go back to back to introduce the evening. Usually known for his soulful, understated selection of vintage Disco & House, our resident 600-Cell also plays Techno with a fine sense of dynamics and rhythms.

Initiated by Anja Lekavski and Lara Klöcke as an event to connect local talents and internationally recognized artists and an equal treatment of all artists, > CANCELLED < is back to host an all-female Bass music lineup for the open- minded on our second floor. With MSJY (fka Miss Jay) known for her stylish blend of celestial, spherical techno and sub-bass heavy 140BPM hitters, Mia Koden covering a wide range of Bass-subgrenes and local support coming from Yeahlena, > CANCELLED < appeals to the adventurous listeners and dancers who flavour multifaceted beats with depth right along the axis of bass. Music to stimulate your hips & brains.

Erst letzten Februar hat uns Yazzus aus Großbritannien im Rahmen der euphorischen Cruise & Mala Junta Party überzeugt. Der britischen Dance-Szene hat es nie an Vielseitigkeit oder an visionären Persönlichkeiten gemangelt, aber Yazzus gehört ohne Zweifel zu den spannendsten Akteur*innen heute. Die Britisch-Ghanaische DJ und Produzentin spielt und produziert außergewöhnliche verführerische Sounds, die von der Intensität des 90er Jahre Hardcore Rave geprägt sind und dabei Footwork, Jungle, Videospiel Soundtracks und noch viele weitere Stile zu anregenden und aphrodisierenden Musikerlebnissen verschweißt. Weitere konzeptionelle Stabilität erhält die ohnehin schon beeindruckende Melange durch ihren Ansatz, die Musik schwarzer Künstler*innen auf beiden Seiten des Atlantik miteinander zu connecten. Nicht ohne Grund ist Yazzus derzeit ein absolutes Must-See!
Sterac dagegen ist eine gestandene Koryphäe, die zur ersten Welle der (kontinental-)europäischen Künstler gehört, die sich mit dem Einfluss von Detroit Techno auseinandergesetzt haben und auf eigene Art und Weise weitergeführt haben. Seine weitreichenden musikalischen Interessen und Talente bedient er mit einer Vielzahl unterschiedlicher Pseudonyme, um sicherzustellen, dass alle Ideen die Aufmerksamkeit erhalten, die sie verdienen. Sterac steht dabei dezidiert reinen, klar-destillierten Techno höchster Güteklasse.
Darüber hinaus liefert DJ Plant Texture mit seinen Live-Sets muskulöse Beats an der Schnittstelle von Breakbeat und Rave während unser sonst für gefühlvollen Disco & House geschätzter Resident 600-Cell heute im Back To Back mit Elias nuancierten Techno mit viel Sinn für Rhythmus und Dynamik spielen wird.
Die von Anja Lekavski und Lara Klöcke initiierte > CANCELLED < Party übernimmt heute den PLUS Floor. Inspiriert von der Idee, lokale und internationale Künstler*innen besser zu verknüpfen und für Gleichberechtigung in den Lineups zu sorgen, ist > CANCELLED < zurück mit einem aufregenden, ausschließlich weibliche besetzen Bassmusic Lineup. Während MSJY (ehemals bekannt als Miss Jay) für ihre stilvolle Mischung von sphärischem Techno und markerschütternden 140BPM Bangern geschätzt wird, deckt Mia Koden ein weites Feld von Bass-Subgenres ab und Yeahlena repräsentiert die spannende Münchner Bassmusikszene. > CANCELLED < ist für alle Freund*innen abenteuerlicher Sounds und Grooves entlang der Bassmuik-Achse und Musik, die gleichermaßen für Hirn & Hüften gedacht ist.
