Bringing to you always the best, LINE UP: LANNY DE LA POSSO (Thema, Essential Reload) Leonardo de la Posso has been involved in New York City's underground music scene since 1991, first as a dancer at some of the hottest underground clubs in NYC at the time (Red Zone, Quicks, Soul Kitchen, Tunnel, Mars, Japans, Engine Room, Sound Factory) By the mid nineties he had taken up the incurable habit of Djing and amassing a library of vinyl to be proud of. Lenny's name is on several of these releases as he has designed for a slew of labels from around the world. He has also started several successful weekly and bi-monthly parties (Composition, MILQ ~pre robots~, Rebel-also one of the resident DJ's for the successful PHONO events), where he DJ's alongside numerous respected international and local artists in the electronic underground music scene. His motivation lies in the pursuit to positively engage the audience with the most current and obscure sounds of today, as well as yesterday. Never forget your past or you will never know where to go in the future. Currently he started a record label coming out of Brooklyn, NYC, called Thema. The essence of Thema is to create a multi-artist platform to help cultivate the scene here in NYC and and its presence in the underground international circuit; to establish a label that focus' on the progression of forward thinking electronic music with like minded individuals from around the world. http://www.myspace.com/dalaposso http://soundcloud.com/thema http://www.myspace.com/themarecordings http://www.residentadvisor.net/dj/lennydelaposso/biography ***************** KID AM (Release Sustain, Brickbeat) Kid Am is the alter ego of Altino, a portuguese born music lover that felt the London calling in the beginning of the millennium and since as become a reference in the infamous east london electronic music scene . Currently working on a few new projects wich include the newly born BRICKBEAT imprint RELEASE/SUSTAIN a music platform aimed towards the production side of the musical world and promote original tracks by Brickbeat rooster and friends spread worldwide as well as planning next step to take. His long lasting residency at Cafe 1001 every 3rd Sunday of the month reserves some of Kid Am inspirational set’s, gathering great feedback from the Bricklane party goers. His self productions still blink in the horizon of a near future, but no need to rush cause as the dj so the producer needs time to mature and become a serious vintage . Has if a science fiction story this related to, only feels like saying : “Soon, at a dancefloor near you !! “ http://www.myspace.com/akakidam http://www.residentadvisor.net/dj/kidam ******************** TOMMI (Supercool, Tonic) "Impeccable mixing of different styles in a single set, all beautifully worked together keeping it techy but kickin’..." www.gothrobot.com The last 12 months have been a whirlwind for Tommi. A late convert to undergound music, it was only in early 2008 that Tommi was introduced to 'dance music' by his now production partner, and sometimes DJ parter Nic Liu. Wasting no time, Tommi immersed himself into London's East End scene, taking in the variety on offer. After dabbling in electro for a few months, Tommi was drawn to the path of house and techno. Two local clubs played a very important role in this, namely ‘Trailer Trash’ and ‘Wetyourself’. It was at these clubs that Tommi found the sounds that excited him. Whilst working out what sounds he liked, another important aspect of his story was developing. Tommi had purchased a cheap pair of turntables from a friend and was learning how to mix. Early lessons from another of London's DJ's and a good friend, Not Shy, gave Tommi the start he needed. Endless hours of practise from this point, brought Tommi to the stage, ready to share his discoveries with others. Far from perfect, as a DJ, but ready to step out of the bedroom. In July 2008, Tommi, realising the need to create his own platform, started a Wednesday night party in a small bar on Brick Lane (Exit Bar) with Nic Liu and Not Shy. The party known today as 'This is not a rave!', hosted in popular london clubs like Aquarium, 333 and Egg. Tommi remained a part of ‘This is not a rave!’ through till July 2009 when he decided to step away, allowing him to concentrate on building his career as a DJ and producer. http://www.residentadvisor.net/dj/tommi http://www.myspace.com/tonicrecs http://www.myspace.com/clubsupercool ************************************************************** HOTEL FUSION @THE RUSSIAN 267 Kingsland Road London E2 8AS FREE ENTRY Doors opens at 8pm until 3am A room of music with latest tendencies house/techno/minimal/techouse Nearest tube – Old Street , Liverpool st.
