Clue #2: what is the name of Tom Hanks’ character’s companion in Castaway? ++ Hello hello + welcome welcome to Bimodal. one + zero. true + false. good + evil. left + right. win + lose. heaven + hell. positive + negative. us + them. These are just some of the word pairs we have developed to conceptualize our journey through life in binary fashion. However, arguably nothing is strictly “this” or “that” in our reality. The universe is complex, and we as humans are multifaceted. Sometimes we are both, all of the above, or none of the above, all at the same time. With this event on Friday 7/7, the Facility team invites you to explore this concept of bimodality, whatever it means to you, through self-expression on the dancefloor + within the space. Sonically, we’ve encouraged our 5 extraordinary + creative B2B selector pairs to designate one partner to keep us grounded while the other leads us down the rabbithole; one to operate as the angel on the shoulder while the other acts as the devil; one to help us see clearly + stay sane while the other pushes our boundaries + knocks us off into the deep end. Similarly, we are offering two unlimited food + beverage options for the occasion: -Choose the *blue* option for access to our carefully designed menu of zero-proof drinks, including mocktails, mate, kombucha, sparkling mushroom tea, juices, cold brew, sparkling water, and other replenishers. An excellent option. -Choose the *red* option for access to our full bar menu, with which your boundaries for imbibing + ingesting are limitless. With both the red and blue options, we invite you to enjoy as much of these drink items as you’d like, plus healthy-leaning bites prepared + curated by our team, but we ask that you please order a maximum of one drink item and one food item per bar trip. Please note that while you will have the ability to choose day of, prices for each will be higher on site, so we encourage you to choose a lane early. Doing so also helps us ensure that we are able to provide an extensive + elevated set of selections for both lanes to choose from. Please also bring cash for bar tips and any on-site add-ons. Thank you. As always, we will have free water for all, whether you choose blue, red, or neither. Some important additional items: -Please keep voices at an absolute minimum in the outdoor areas surrounding our location, especially as you approach the door, as we have neighbors close by. This is extremely important at this location! We can’t emphasize this enough. -If you intend to smoke or spend extended time outside of the space, please make a left out of the building, then cross the main street and head straight ahead or to your left to put some distance between yourself and the neighbors. -Our location is situated in Bushwick in the 11237 zip code and is walking distance from both the Morgan Avenue + Jefferson Street stops on the L train. We will announce the precise location of the event day of. Facility’s mission is to facilitate the success and wellbeing of the dance music community in New York. We love bringing people together and building connections and collaboration between participants within and adjacent to this community that we cherish. Go ahead and say hi to someone new while you’re here with us – that includes us! We have zero tolerance for any demonstration of disrespect or violence or threatening behavior of any kind – those who do not live up to this standard will be asked to leave the premises immediately and we will not invite you to any future Facility events. We will have team members specifically designated as captains throughout the night to help steer the collective group in this direction.
