- Electronic Artifacts is a curated showcase of live techno acts and DJ's focusing on underground artists throughout the Plains Archaic region of the United States. Friday August 11th will be the second showcase at the Hi Dive in Denver CO featuring the Los Angeles duo Lower Tar. With an exceptional output of releases and live sets spanning the last decade, Lower Tar have been quite prolific. The duo is pushing the envelope of what a live techno set can be with a feral sound that blurs the lines between body music, techno, wave, and industrial. Founding member Ori Ofir is a stalwart of the LA techno underground due to his early Night Gaunt Recordings label to the current L.A.U.R.A. RECS cassette label and rave series that documents the expanse of talent throughout Los Angeles. Expect raw maximal machine music reminiscent of Bunker and early cassette culture experiments but in no way derivative.
