This July 22nd, we invite you to join us for our second proprietary soiree w/ Sputnik One, K-Wata (live), Honeydrip & Space Graft . Perhaps you joined us at our first event with livwutang, or maybe you found yourself seeking refuge in room 3 at OMNI; or maybe you’re just ~feeling curious~ and want to see/hear/feel what we’re all about. No matter who you are, you’ve come to the right place.
At Missed Connections, we take a familiar spot and transform it into the unfamiliar; a dance floor you’ll get lost in accompanied by cozy corridors to re-find yourself. Space Graft will once again be on lighting duty & the city’s brand new Danley Sound System will be in full-swing. We’ve got all the ingredients to make this a special night, all we’re missing is YOU.
For this special occasion, we invite a collection of internet friends & musical colleagues that finally get to connect IRL. All three have released music on Sputnik One’s record label N-Face & carry a cohesive expertise in bringing deep frequencies to the dancefloor.
Sputnik-One (Dublin, IR) - Purveyor of Bass and all things psychedelic; if you’re unfamiliar with Sputnik One, take a listen to their latest truants mix , it will not disappoint ;) aaaaaand if you missed the news last week, zi! Recently guest-starred on Sputnik One’s Rinse FM show. We’re ecstatic to invite him across the pond for his MTL debut.
K wata (NYC) - Joining us from Brooklyn is the co-founder of Slink, an NYC club night & record label for slippery rhythms and sweaty dancefloors. His productions are rooted in deep-frequency sound design, ranging from forward-thinking club steppers to unique collaborations like with Yaeji on her new album. K wata will bring their live set to MTL for the first time.

Honeydrip (MTL) - Our local connection for the evening is sweet like honey, yet sometimes bitter; Honeydrip is the MTL mainstay for all things leftfield, bass, breaks, and more. She will be lifting us off as the temperature rises on this hot summer evening.

Space Graft (MTL) The DIY maniac/magician who always seems to have a few tricks up his sleeve is back to illuminate the Missed Connections dancefloor. His work relies on his own software and hardware tools to perform entirely improvised marathon sets. Space Graft is a one-of-a-kind artist and we’re excited for what they will do in our next all-night iteration.
