ブリストル・テクノ&UKエレクトロニカの拡張！ミラノの新鋭Piezo初来日公演にベルギーのロングラン・パーティ／コレクティブHE4RTBROKENのLiyoを再来日で迎えたLocal World本編第24回。
ブリストルを起点にベース・ミュージックとエレクトロニックの融点から浮かび上がるコンテンポラリーなUKフューチャリズムをテーマに、ローカルからドラムンベースを電子化させたパイオニアENA、ブリストルの名門Wisdom Teethのコンピレーションに参加した名古屋のabentisの東京初ライブ、自身のレーベルSet Fire To Meから着実なリリースを重ねるTorei、Maltineからリリース、Free Rave x みんなのきもちのDJセットも記憶に新しいillequalが出演。
Expansion of Bristol Techno & UK Electronica. The 24th edition of Local World welcomes Liyo of Belgium's long-running party/collective HE4RTBROKEN and Milan's upcoming Piezo for the first show in Tokyo.
The theme is contemporary UK futurism that emerges from the fusion of bass music and electronic with Bristol as its starting point. Local lineup includes the pioneer of electronic drum'n'bass ENA, abentis's live set from Nagoya who participated in the compilation of Bristol imprint Wisdom Teeth. Torei, who has been steadily releasing music on his own label Set Fire To Me, and illequal released on Maltine, whose DJ sets at Free Rave x Minna no Kimochi are still fresh in our minds, will also perform.

今回初来日を果たすPiezoはミラノを拠点とする電子音楽プロデューサー、DJ、サウンドアーティストであり、UKテクノ、サウンドシステムカルチャー、ミュータントダンスミュージックの交差点で活動中。自身のレーベルAnsiaでは、作曲とサウンドデザインに対する独特でユーモラスなアプローチが際立つ、エネルギッシュなフロアツールをリリースすることにフォーカスしている。カルト・エクスペリメンタルレーベルHundebissからのデビューアルバム『Perdu』は、テクノイドなUKベース、ヒプノティックな異世界感、ヘビーなサウンドデザインの間を行き来しながら無数に受けた影響と多才さを反映した内容となった。
Piezo is a Milan-based electronic music producer, DJ and sound artist working at the intersection of UK techno, sound-system culture and mutant dance music. He runs a label called Ansia which would see his focus shift to releasing energetic dancefloor tools set apart by a distinctly humorous approach to composition and sound design.
In August 2020 Piezo releases his first full-length, “Perdu”, on Milanese cult experimental label Hundebiss (run by PAN affiliate STILL), an album which reflects the myriad of influences and the versatility of the producer, moving between technoid UK bass, hypnotic 4th-world textures and heavy sound-design.

LiyoはベルギーのコレクティブHE4RTBROKENの共同設立者であり、クラブに無条件のエモーショナルな音楽を持ち込んでいる。HE4RTBROKENは、T2とジョディのクラシックなUKベースライン・トラックから受け継いだメロドラマ調の名前に遠慮することなく、泣けるダンスフロアに憧れる繊細な魂に安全な拠り所を提供することを目指し、定義された音楽ジャンルよりもむしろ感情と改革に焦点を当てている。2015年にスタートし、主にブリュッセルで、時にはパリ、ロンドン、上海でも開催されているこのイベントは、DJファンクション、アンビエント・コンサート、悲しい歌だけのカラオケから、映画館で行われる視聴覚ライブショーまで、カタルシスをもたらす音楽鑑賞のあらゆる範囲を探求してきた。コレクティブの中心メンバーであり、レジデントDJであるLiyo、Steff、Munix、ssalivaを中心に、Malibu、SKY H1、Why Be、Asmara、Mobilegirl、Palmistry、Oli XL、Toxe、DJ Python、Laurel Halo、Total Freedom、Physical Therapy、Crystallmess、Detente、Oklouなど、同じような考えを持つDJやプロデューサーのコミュニティが1年の間に集まってきた。2020年からは、NTS Radioで毎月番組を開催している。
Liyoはミックスを音のストーリーテリングと考え、あらゆるジャンルの音楽を丹念につなぎ合わせ、ユニークな物語を創り出す。彼女は興味深いコラージュ、突然の失墜、感動的なクライマックスを創り出すために、感情を第一に考えている。ソロDJとして、Panorama Bar（ベルリン）、Bossa Nova Civic Club（ニューヨーク）、Shelter（上海）、ADE（アムステルダム）、Horst Festival（ブリュッセル）などの会場やフェスティバルで、ヨーロッパ、北米、東アジアでプレイしている。また、映画のサウンドに焦点を当てたミックス・シリーズ「The Scores」のキュレーターでもあり、「Fact Magazine」、「HÖR」、「The Lot Radio」、「Hong Kong Community Radio」などでミックスを録音している。
Liyo is the co-founder of HE4RTBROKEN, a Belgian collective bringing unapologetically emotional music into the club. Not shying away from the melodramatic tone of its name, inherited from the T2 and Jodie classic UK bassline track, HE4RTBROKEN aims at offering a safe haven to the sensitive souls longing for a dance floor to cry on, and focuses on feelings and reinvention rather than on any defined music genre.
Started in 2015 and taking place mostly in Brussels, occasionally in Paris, London and Shanghai, the events have been exploring the full range of cathartic music listening, going from dj functions, ambient concerts, sad-songs-only karaokes to audiovisual live shows held in cinemas. Around the collective’s core members and resident djs Liyo, Steff, Munix and ssaliva, the nights have gathered over the year a community of like minded djs and producers, among others Malibu, SKY H1, Why Be, Asmara, Mobilegirl, Palmistry, Oli XL, Toxe, DJ Python, Laurel Halo, Total Freedom, Physical Therapy, Crystallmess, Detente and Oklou. Since 2020, the collective also hosts a monthly show on NTS Radio.
Liyo conceives her mixes as sonic storytelling, meticulously stitching together music from all over the spectrum to create a unique narrative. Emotions come first, as she’s looking to create interesting collages, abrupt downfalls and stirring climaxes. As a solo dj, she has played in Europe, North America and East Asia in venues and festivals like Panorama Bar (Berlin), Bossa Nova Civic Club (New York), Shelter (Shanghai), ADE (Amsterdam), Horst Festival (Brussels). She also curates « The Scores », a mix series focusing on movies sounds, and has recorded mixes for Fact Magazine, HÖR, The Lot Radio, Hong Kong Community Radio.
