Clan Analogue launch their new triple-disc retrospective Re Cognition: The Clan Analogue Legacy Collection with a night of diverse live electronic music, featuring a lineup spanning the multifarious coordinates of Clan Analogue’s electronic music spectrum, from experimental sonics to funked-up dance grooves and beyond.
Koshowko’s set will see Martin K sporting some new gear and performing a live Indie Dance and Intense Nu-Disco-Rock mash-up, including the new remixes of Biftek’s ‘We Think You’re Dishy’ and Disco Stu’s ‘God Is Dead’ featured on Re Cognition and songs from his new side project ‘Philosophy Of Sound’. Koshowko also has five filmclips on the Re Cognition DVD.
Apell’s funky electronica explorations will warm your winter soul and get you grooving with synthetic beats, live keys, bombastic bass guitar and mysterious guest vocalists. Apell’s track ‘Wrinkled’ is remixed on Re Cognition by DJ Zaziz, while Apell also appears on the album as the remixer of Soft Spoken Spanky’s ‘Grubbing For Truffles’.
Winduptoys will be stretching and pulling sounds into new shapes, meshing dub flavours with their voltage-driven electronica. Winduptoys appear on Re Cognition as the remixers of Continuum’s track ‘Balladonia’, also contributing ‘GhostDub’ and ‘Switched On’ to the collection of filmclips on the Re Cognition DVD.
Re Cognition is a collectible three-disc set, containing a selection of the most seminal acts of modern Australian electronic music, all of whom started their careers as part of the Clan Analogue collective.
