Launching into a special “Jungle Edition” feature for Sunday October 29th, JUICE is beyond humbled to welcome legend-in-the-scene Ray Keith (Dread Recs boss / UK)—playing a special 2-hour set: “Jungle Music: Past, Present & Future;” alongside the mighty Marcus Visionary, (hailing from Toronto), who has contributed so much to the culture and sound of the genre. Supported by the very talented producer Duburban (UK)—playing for the first time ever in the US—alongside one of PDX’s finest, Elementry, this night will be packed start to finish with a full-spectrum journey into the jungle.
It’s JUICE’s mission to continue to showcase the best that deep soulful DnB offers for a hybrid of feature in-person & livestream sessions on select last Fridays of the month….and occasionally other special dates!

Ray Keith is one of the UK’s most respected names in jungle and drum and bass, regarded as the Godfather of DnB. Renowned for his bass-heavy yet soulful productions and seamless skills, this iconic DJ, producer and record label boss has remained at the pinnacle of the scene since helping to pioneer the genre near three decades ago.
With eight studio albums, a catalogue of hugely important remixes, a successful radio show and countless worldwide tours under his belt, Ray shows no signs of slowing down. His label Dread Recordings (running since 1994) has seen the release of ‘20 years of Dread Recordings’ along with a vast number of EPs and collaborations; and his highly acclaimed “Dub Dread 5 Sampler” with bonus CD featuring over 20 artists.
Ray burst onto the scene in the early 90s as a DJ on the UK rave circuit. When his remix of Orbital’s ‘Chime’ dropped in 1992 he was immediately propelled into the limelight as one of the UK’s most celebrated producers.
With an abundance of remixes hitting the streets throughout jungle's mid-90s golden era, Ray soon became known as the don of the rerub, with well over 100 jungle and drum and bass remixes released—including reworkings of Moby's 'Yes Yes', Congo Natty's 'Police in Helicopter’ and Baby D's 'Let Me Be Your Fantasy' to name but a few.
Ray's weekly radio show on Radar Radio, Blueprint, currently reaches audiences of around 25-30k a week, with guests having included the likes of Roni Size, Heartless Crew and Dizzee Rascal.
He also releases a monthly Dread radio podcast of upfront cutting edge jungle and drum and bass, which is revered as one of the best DnB streams in the world—and also runs a regular Blueprint night in London. Catch him smashing up the dance with his band Renegade Live and on the Dread Recordings label DJ tours all over Europe.
Ray’s recent projects have included working with Jungle Cakes on a compilation of over 50 tracks; an EP completed on Deekline's Jungle Cakes label; the “Babylon Dread EP,” the “Chopper Remixes XXV,” and many other singles into 2023. As a visionary in the genre and nonstop productions of soulful heavy bangers, Ray Keith remains at the forefront of drum and bass and powerful influence in the scene.

Marcus Visionary has been at the forefront of the Jungle DNB scene in Toronto Canada before it's very inception. He's often referred to as Canada's #1 DNB & Jungle export as well as being an ambassador for the ever evolving Jungle DNB sound worldwide. Marcus is one of the few artists out of North America who has built a strong foundation in the U.K & Europe as well as in the U.S. The journey started in 2004 when he was personally signed to the legendary Digital Soundboy family by Shy FX himself. Marcus joined the elite all star lineup alongside the likes of Benny Page, Breakage, Mark System, Stamina MC & B Traits. Since then he has travelled the world and played some of the biggest festivals and clubs representing his unique take on the Jungle DNB sound. Priding himself on upfront selection, clean mixing, musical versatility and a keen ability to read any crowd. Not to mention his collection of Dubplate specials which is something that has earned him fans the world over.
In his hometown Toronto, Marcus has been running the Prophecy on 89.5 FM for 20 Years alongside DJ Prime, Mr. Brown & Gremlinz. The program is North America's longest running Jungle DnB radio show and has been a integral part of the city's developing Jungle DNB music scene. In 2015 Marcus left the Prophecy in it's 20th year as he was asked to host his own exclusive radio show on the world famous Kool London (Kool F.M). You can catch Marcus there the first Friday of every month from 7-9 EST 11pm-1am GMT.
After an immense run of critically-acclaimed success, leading to invitations to play at some of the biggest parties and festivals around the world. Marcus has been nominated as Best Jungle Producer at the We Love Jungle Awards 3 years in a row while being crowned Best Producer/DJ at the 2015 North American DnB Awards.
Hot on the heels of his massive LP Jungle to the World Vol. 1, 2016 followed with the extremely successful Jungle To The World Volume 2 & 3 with a stellar supporting cast, and the brand spanking new collaboration with NYC Junglist Liondub featuring select Dancehall, Reggae & Grime artists entitled ëRumbleí. Moving forward into 2021 Marcus has decided to focus his studio attention on his label 'Inner City Dance' with best friend and legendary Toronto DJ Lush. Duburban has been making a name for himself in the underground jungle scene for the past 13 years. Hailing from Huddersfield, UK, his devotion to music is unwavering, and he finds inspiration from sound system culture. Duburban's musical influences stem from the immersive realms of dub and roots reggae, as well as the original breakbeats found in soul and funk records. What truly sets him apart is the remarkable range and versatility showcased in his productions, effortlessly transitioning from raw and rugged to silky smooth, and everything in between.
Since a young age, Duburban has nurtured a profound love for music, dedicating years to honing his skills and refining his sound. He has earned many vinyl releases on esteemed labels such as Myor Masiv, 3am Eternal, Meditator Music and more. Duburban is on an upward trajectory and no signs of slowing down with his debut album on the horizon.

Elementry is the King of Reggae infused Drum and Bass and Ragga Jungle in Portland. As the co-Founder of Bloodshot Riddims, he has been able to bring the Ragga sound to the forefront with flawless mixing and Imperial selections, while also being proficient in Liquid Drum and Bass. Elementry spends his time equally between seeking out the freshest new tracks and producing in the studio along side George of the Jungle and promoting a Monthly Reggae Dancehall night at Pono Brewing in Portland. Bloodshot Riddims has gained momentum from dubplate releases with productions featuring Sizzla Kalonji, Jahdan Blakkamoore, and Perfect Giddimani to name a few.
Elementry has been behind the decks for 15 years playing shows in clubs in support of artists like Craze, CRS1, Dieselboy and R.A.W. and has been a staple at Northwest World Reggae Fest, Fire, Earthdance and other festivals all over the Northwest. He has also been busy in the studio producing his own style of sound for over a decade. Look forward to much more in the future.
