The latest of Berlin techno in the unique ambience of Carinthian corn fields, Slovenia
At the beginning of August, more precisely between August 4 and 6, the two-
day international music boutique festival Koruznik will take place in Libeliče near Dravograd, Slovenia.
Around 30 performing musicians from Sweden, France, Germany, Italy and Slovenia will line up at the
event, which has only in few years grown from a local to international event. As part of the festival,
camping, workshops, food, numerous other activities are included.
Koruznik is an unforgettable music and dance experience in the heart of beautiful Carinthia, Slovenia, on
the Slovenian side of the beautiful Drava river on Austrian – Slovenian border. The special feature that
separates this unique event from other comparable techno events, not only in Slovenia, but also more
widely, is that it combines the latest underground techno trends with a unique spatial and sound
ambience. The two-day festival takes place entirely in the corn fields, in the mysterious embrace of the
corn, and as such offers a unique sensory indulgence of hearing and sight.
The headliners at this years event are Berlin-based DJs Justine Perry (France) and Philippa Pacho
(Sweden). DJ and producer Justine is known for her timeless, fast, deep and trippy groove techno sound,
while Philippa always triggers a range of emotions and energy on the dance floor with her knowledge of
mixing different genres of techno. Both of them developed their mixing skills on tours around the world,
in the most famous techno clubs, including in Berlin's Berghain. In addition to them, a number of
international and local DJs, representatives of the new generation of Slovenian techno and other
electronic genres will be presented.
Koruznik - an idea that sparked during the corona times in the minds of the Koruznik crew and local
Coreoška cultural association - was last year organized vfor the first time in an international format,
after two previous ‘unofficial’ editions, where mainly the local Carinthian electronic artists performed.
The event thus offers two festival days with the international participation of first-class names in
underground techno with wider domestic and regional support.
Organized transport (mini bus) will also be available for visitors from the Carinthia region, Slovenia, and
a special bus transport will also depart from Berlin for German fans of underground electronic music.
