With great delight, we welcome back Flock favourites Adelphi Music Factory for a special limited capacity hometown show in a very intimate space. Joining them, we're proud to bring you the incredible Scarlett O'Malley, as well as residents Gross Rodriguez and Steely, plus local vinyl wizard Level At The Break.
This show is in aid of Mondo Radio, a pillar of the DIY community in Sheffield and something that the Steel City cannot be without. Every penny raised for this show will go towards keeping Mondo Radio alive, and so with it independent underground culture in our beloved city. Keep flying the flag and see you on the dancefloor.
ADELPHI MUSIC FACTORY
A name that needs no introduction, especially to the Flock faithful; an industrial northern collective of producers, DJs, creatives and music makers - here to increase the peace. Headlining a sold out Flock day party in May 2022, these hometown heroes tore the roof off the place, firmly cementing themselves (as if there was any doubt before) as the very best in house music that Sheffield has to offer - and that's what Flock is all about.
Since their last appearance for us, they've gone from strength to strength. 2022's Save Me reverberated around festivals and clubs across the globe, soundtracking many a happy night just as Javelin had done before it and their huge latest single Memories (Burning In Time) continues to do now.
The tracks they produce receive streams in the tens of millions. Each limited edition vinyl record sells out in days. Appearances are on the biggest stages in the world. DJ support pours in from the likes of Disclosure, TSHA, Annie Mac, The Blessed Madonna and Gerd Janson.
They are a powerhouse and we are very proud to bring them home once again to Sheffield. It's the kind of joy that makes you dance.
SCARLETT O'MALLEY
DJ, presenter, broadcaster, and documentary maker Scarlett O'Malley joins the bill with plaudits from all those in the know.
Born and raised in West London but now making her mark around Europe, she is a new breed of DJ doing things on her own terms, taking her extensive record collection with her across the globe to play to audiences in Ibiza, New York, Mexico City & Turku to name just a few.
A resident on Rinse FM, her tireless passion for the scene has made her one of online radio’s busiest talents.
Scarlett’s music collection is rooted in soul but reaches deep into house, minimal, jazz, funk, Latin and beyond, and she has found a home for her records on The Vinyl Factory platform. Her wide-ranging DJ sets are known for exploring leftfield percussive sounds, acid and groovy. They have taken her to clubs like Fabric, Pikes Ibiza and Motion Bristol as well as Corsica Studios, Night Tales and The Cause in London. A regular on the festival circuit, she has appearances at the likes of Glastonbury, Lost Village, Love Supreme, We Out Here, Gottwood and more to her name.
We caught her at Gottwood this Summer and were entranced by the unbound fun that infected the adoring public and knew we needed to bring that back to Sheffield with us. We're so excited to share the Scarlett O'Malley experience with you all.
GROSS RODRIGUEZ
Our great artista returns to the flock dancefloor on the back of sharing the bill with the likes of Truly Madly and appearances at the wonderful Texture Sounds' Tramlines party.
Infectious rhythms punctuate a signature Gross Rodriguez set that brings both melody and pace in equal abundance; chunky house bangers weave harmoniously with hard hitting acid lines and minimal intimations, all spiced with a seriously tasty Latin flavour. Buckle in.
STEELY
Tasked with matching the energy of this tremendous lineup, Flock resident Steely and his collection of swaggering house beats and big euphoric symphonies is a match made in heaven.
Playing alongside Crazy P Soundsystem at FØRGE last Winter, Steely has played a smattering of shows across South East Asia this year before returning for his full Flock debut, supporting the imperious Inland Knights. Known for joyous piano house and huge choruses, Steely's sets provide all those moments that make your night a memorable one.
LEVEL AT THE BREAK
Another local lad, Sheffield-born Level At The Break is a vinyl DJ who makes his Flock debut with a wealth of experience under his belt.
Versatile and yet truly masterful, his collection knows no bounds; playing everything from minimal, deep house and breakbeat, right through to jungle. This is an artist that has honed his craft for decades and we're excited to have him play for you all this September.
