Die mexikanische DJ Mystery Affair bringt in ihren Sets auf äußerst einnehmende Weise die losen Enden von Italo Disco, House und New-Wave-artigen Dance Tracks zusammen. Seit über zehn Jahren legt sie u.a. regelmäßig auf den Sunday Sunday Partys in Guadalajara und queeren Spots in Mexico City auf, mit Monocero Records hat sie eine Plattform für “Dirty Disco, Space Techno, Magic Music” gegründet, deren bisherigen sieben Veröffentlichungen ein Fest für Genre-Liebhaber*innen sind. Mystery Affair spielt zur heutigen Klubnacht in der Panorama Bar, neben Ata, der New Yorkerin Dee Diggs, Levon Vincent (der gerade sein neues Album Sacred Geometry veröffentlich hat) und dem aus Ohio stammenden Titonton Duvanté, der mit seinen Produktionen und in seinen Sets seit den späten 90er Jahren einen unnachahmlich warmen, vertrackten House-Style entwickeln konnte. Im Berghain gibt es neben anderen die in Berlin lebende Spanierin Beatrice zu hören, die vor kurzem zur Resident-DJ im New Yorker Basement Club ernannt wurde sowie mit Madalba eine der Veranstalter*innen und Resident-DJs der Buttons Party.
Mexican DJ Mystery Affair weaves together the loose ends of Italo disco, house and new-wavey dance tracks in her sets with an exceptional allure. Over the last ten-plus years, she has been a regular at the Sunday Sunday series in Guadalajara and queer spots throughout Mexico City, and with Monocero Records she runs a platform for “dirty disco, space techno, magic music”, whose seven releases to date form a feast for fans of these genres. Mystery Affair plays at at Panorama Bar for weekend's Klubnacht, alongside Ata, New Yorker Dee Diggs, Levon Vincent (who has just released his new album Sacred Geometry) and Ohio-born Titonton Duvanté, who has developed an inimitably warm, intricate house style in his productions and sets since the late 90s. At Berghain, you can hear Berlin-based Spaniard Beatrice, who was recently appointed resident DJ at New York's Basement Club, and Madalba, one of the organisers and residents of the Buttons party.
