  • Tengu Culture Night Friday 22nd September. This year we are celebrating the talent of Ireland’s Latin American community with DJ sets from Elö, Hey Rose, LUCAS, Ortega, Pablo Santos! Born and raised in Brasilia, Pablo Santo is a DJ who refuses to be restricted to a genre, style or bpm – Pablo has established himself in the Dublin music landscape and is one of most trusted DJs in skills and selection. Pablo's work consists of exploring Latin music. He consistently visits his music background bringing the genuine rhythm and flavours of Brazilian music to the dance floor. He is also a founding member of Different Rhythm – a music collective that travels back and forth in time,through the old and new music produced in Africa, The Caribbean, Latin America and more. Pablo Santo has also released African influenced House music on Orange Tree Edits under his alias "Santo", with the songs "Milk and Honey" and "Trippin on Frogs". E l ö has been a music researcher & party enthusiast for over 15 years. She is from a suburb area of Curitiba Brazil. She mixes multicultural music styles, mostly Afro-Brazilian songs in house, disco, electro and trance beats. In the last 2 years, In Ireland, she has been playing & supporting a number of Brazilian/Latin cultural movements such as, Cacao & Ecstatic Dance events. Currently, she is involved in the creation of Crystal Queer Club, an LGBTQI+ collective. She is passionate to discover & learn about cultures, transiting between worlds, she is always seeking to share the best references of her musical repertoire that is being acquired lifelong in festivals, parties and travelling worldwide. Ortega, from Taboão da Serra – Brazil, was born on 2nd July, in 1984. At the age of nine, in 1993 he just discovered the dance music through the radios. Since 2006 active as a Disc Jockey, Upon playing in São Paulo around 2012, he was invited to take part from Smile Collective where he had a huge opportunity to share and exchange clubbing culture, in 2016 he became an electronic musician, whose songs and DJ Set Beats between Latin, Disco, House, Breaks, Electro, Acid Waves, Smily Waves in general. He has been on that scene over these 17 years doing constant research in genres like Latin, Jazz, Funk, Disco and Electronic.In 2017 he has released on Toskera Records the album called ‘Digging’ For Beats Batuque’ with the Beat Maker Rasec. 2021 he took another important step and released on Cockpitch Records his first EP called ‘Bat Maculelê’. Based in Dublin for the last decade, Lucas Baptista is a relatively fresh name in the local music scene. His music, a curious blend of Brazilian Funk, Tribal, Afro, Jungle, and Drum & Bass, introduces a unique sound palette that reflects his roots. Only a year into his DJ career, Lucas has begun to make his mark within Dublin's nightlife. Having debuted at The Big Romance, Lucas went on to perform at other local venues like Izakaya and All Good Wine Bar. His sets, while still evolving, strike a balance between his love for Brazilian music and the current beats of Dublin's music scene. Lucas Baptista is still navigating his way through the city's competitive music scene, but his distinctive style and connection to his cultural heritage offer a new perspective in Dublin's landscape of sound. As a newcomer, he's still exploring his craft and aims to refine his DJing skills further in the coming years. Rosa Parozci is a Venezuelan DJ based in Dublin since 2010. In Venezuela, Rosa worked as a radio host and music TV presenter. For the last 10 years she has been building a sizable and eclectic vinyl collection. Rosa has played at Longitude Festival (backstage), Colourama Festival in Kildare Village, shop openings and many more parties and events. Depending on the vibe, Rosa plays a mix of classic salsa, modern Latin, rhythms from the Caribbean, or selections from classic RnB, pop, neosoul and hip-hop. Whatever the style, her love of music always shines through.
