Use common sense and respect those around you. +++++++++++++++ BE KIND x BE COOL x BE YOURSELF ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ TENSAL [live] ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Polegroup founder, Héctor Sandoval aka Tensal brings his LIVE set to Detroit for our Movement opening event. Tensal is one-half of the techno powerhouse group Exium, and he has more than a hundred releases on labels like Arts, MORD, Polegroup, Bpitch, Soma Records, and more. His works are defined by contemporary and recurring elements, featuring trippy, classic synth lines. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ VSK [live] ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ VSK has been released on labels like 47, MORD, Soma Records, Perc Trax, Modularz, and more. He has become familiar with different forms of techno, his style ranging from a sound usually very hard and dark, often with industrial influences, to a very different one, deeper and more mental, both still easily recognizable as coming from the same mind. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ KRISTA BOURGEOIS [live] ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Seething with corrosive grit, her sound is abrasive and unapologetic. Krista’s experimental take on techno is marked by industrial soundscapes that degrade into visceral, dystopian textures and are backed by a relentless blend of unyielding percussion and analog warmth. Unconventional methods have shaped Krista's output. Modular synthesis is the core of both her live performances and her studio. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ SHAY DOE [live] ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Shay Doe is a master of the gritty, dark, and cruel sides of Industrial Techno. When it comes to performing a LIVE hardware set, Shay delivers an experience of uniquely interpreted narratives; filled with rumbling acid basslines, heavy industrial kicks, rhythmic distorted noise, eerie chanting vocals, and drone sounds. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ MONIX [live] ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Unconcerned with conventional elements of modern techno, Monix's live sets embody relentless and pummeling industrial sounds. Focus is spent on developing dense drones and harsh noise walls with distorted vocal elements and heavy kicks that forcefully defy a 4x4 structure. Monix has released on over 30 different strong techno labels and has been performing exclusively as a live act for over 25 years in the electronic music industry. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ AMNESIAC HOST [live] ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Amnesiac Host started producing with hardware around 2015, but the inspiration for the project came in 2017 after moving to Los Angeles. He has co-founded the label Darkroom Bureau, which he has mainly used to digitally distribute his releases. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ BOYS HOTEL [live] ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Boys Hotel began in 2020 with the release of his seminal debut, ‘Future Probably Faded.’ He produces techno, breakcore, and drum & bass, and his body of work includes remixes for Blksmiith as well as the Planet Rave topping track, “Cute Junglists Unite” on Spotify. He performs live on eurorack modular hardware. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ DEVIL IS A BOTTOM [live] ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Devil Is A Bottom is this year’s 100% Live Contest winner. He was chosen by our panel of industry judges including Black Asteroid, DJ Hyperactive, Luis Flores, and Marco Sgalbazzini. Spending 9 years in a dark hole taking his inspiration from Robert Hood, Devil Is A Bottom dove head first into the world of modular synthesis. Music production helps him avoid boredom and feelings of being stuck among the bleak surroundings of downtown Detroit. :: presented by victims of silence X darkroom bureau X format ::
