WITH AN ALMIGHTY EVENT- FEATURING - LIVE PUNK + HIP HOP + DUB REGGAE PERFORMANCES FROM LOCAL COMMUNITY ARTISTS AND INTERNATIONAL /UK UNDERGROUND TECHNO DJ'S AND PRODUCERS - POWERED BY A MIGHTY STATE OF THE ART RIG BY SALTIRE SOUND SYSTEM
The Wax Factory returns to Glasgow in its 9th year with Philanthropy Collective for a fundraising event for The Refugee Community Kitchen, Edinburgh.
The event will be hosted in an alternative venue in the South side of Glasgow, Rutherglen. Featuring live music including punk, hip hop and local & International DJ’s making their debut in Glasgow.
Not only is this a fundraiser, but also the 50th Birthday Celebration of DJ Kenny Mulligan /Acid Army and the founder of The Philanthropy Collective, After many years of Working in the music Industry and being involved in the early free party Acid Techno movement in London ,he returned to his homeland in Scotland and established The Wax Factory Club in 2014.
DJ Kenny Mulligan aka DJ KINETIC started DJing and Promoting Parties in 1988 and became an integral link between London Acid House Scene and Scottish Raves,he has many links within the old school Acid house & Techno Global Scene, and successfully curated 1 of Dance Music's biggest Radio Stations, Pure Radio Holland.
Ticket price is £10 which includes a free bus from McChuills (Bus pick up from Parsonage Square at 4:45pm) and a free buffet on arrival at the venue 15 Minutes from City Centre . Ticket price on the door is a minimum £10 donation or whatever you can afford.

D.A.V.E The Drummer – International & UK DJ, producer, and owner of Hydraulix Records alongside his wife VJ Justine Cullen who will be providing live visuals.
Michaela – International & UK DJ and creator of Collide which has been running for 6 years making her Scotland debut. Michaela first made her mark on the Birmingham techno scene in 2013 at Osmosis, resulting in a long running residency and regular bookings coming in from around the UK and Europe.
In the past 2 years she has played at D.A.V.E the Drummers' Hydraulix Party at Fold nightclub in London, Rebel-Tek hosted by Sterling Moss, Archetype in Liverpool, Release the Kraken, Underground Alliance, A.V.M, Landed Festival, Stay Up Forever 30th exhibition and her own event in Birmingham “Collide” amongst others.
Collide has been running for 6 years and continuously grows from strength to strength with regular sell out ticket sales and a reputation of having an incredible atmosphere along with a loyal following within the Birmingham techno-head community.releases on multiple labels – Global Music Records, Urban Chaos & Rehabilitation and with his massive input on his Fresh output Techno Connects Records , taking influences from his amazing collection of vintage and unwrapped new cuts, recently his productions have been well noted among the bigger labels and DJs on the Hard Techno Scene,making Noise and on the rise. Glen is a born natural and having been mentored by one of the best Techno Producers D.A.V.E. THE DRUMMER, and hosting great nights recently in Glasgow & Edinburgh bringing some heavy weights such as Detroit Techno Militia & Ireland's Cinquedea, a DJ and artist with his finger on the pulse.
Martin Retribute – Has been a regular DJ for several years as well as hosting a well curated Radio Show for many years.
Bazil Blair x JP – JP has been a key figure of the underground Acid House scene in Glasgow and the Let’s Go Back Crew since and a well known face in the Glasgow scene since 1988
Gavin Ball – Playing Dub and Reggae and providing the mighty Saltire Sound System , having hosted his own nights 0Future Boogie bringing in Legends such as Frank De Wulf from Belgium
DJ Kenny Mulligan Acid Army Philanthropy Collective Founder – DJ, Promoter and owner of Strict Tempo Records / Wax Factory Club Glasgow / Resonate London , Releases under the monikers , Strange Mysterious Wierdo, Dark Art Masquerade/ Kenitic Headspin/ Dream Geirtra , and now recently working on his 3rd Album under The Tenement Acid Fleeto .
CCTV – Consists of jam & jaylee from Glasgow, they have been rapping and making music for over 5 years
Radical Riots – Absolute Riots are an anarchic 3 piece band.
Starting accidentally at a grindcore show a year ago and never stopping since then, they bring a much needed boot to the door of the conventional punk scene.
Opting to touch on every genre they enjoy instead of boxing themself in, you can expect a mixture of funky & filthy bass lines, relenting & enticing drums and rapping, singing & screaming from this trio
