REMS presents our BIGGEST event up to date!
We have teamed up with a Reading venue, Blue Collar Corner, to provide you with a night of quality garage selects. On the 20th of October, the lead act Oppidan (@djoppidan on IG) will be on decks, fresh from Boomtown, Love Saves The Day and more. Support comes from up and coming Kaisui plus our very own SaM and Lollo with others TBC. Get ready for some heavy basslines and melodic shuffles

Undoubtedly one of the fastest rising names in UK Garage, OPPIDAN has made a name for herself with her distinctive production style blending 2-step, 4×4 NUKG, Hip-Hop, Soul, Grime and UK Bass influences. At this relatively early stage of her career, she has had releases on the Night Bass, 24 Hour Garage Girls and Steppers Club as well as being an active part of the Kiwi Rekord’s roster.
Oppidan’s technical skill and individuality doesn’t stop at production either. She’s also established herself as a phenomenal DJ, playfully blurring the lines between UK Garage, Funky, Grime and House. Summer 2023 has seen her DJing to huge crowds at many festivals including Boomtown (as a B2B with the legend Matt 'Jam' Lamont) and Truck (where she closed the second stage straight after Shy FX).
Also playing on the night will be KAISUI who, alongside Oppidan, caught the eye of Conducta and recently released tracks on his Kiwi Rekords imprint. Mixes for Rinse FM and Reprezent Radio further confirmed why Kaisui is considered one of the most exciting DJs from the NUKG scene right now.
Hosting the night and providing all support DJs we have REMS (Reading Electronic Music Society) who kick off at 5pm (when four top notch street food kitchens open at the venue) and will be keeping us dancing until midnight.
