This isn't just a season-ending celebration; it's a double delight! We're throwing a birthday bash for Vamparela, one half of Local Suicide, and we're ecstatic to unveil the long-awaited compilation, "2 Years of Iptamenos Discos."
Here's the phenomenal lineup we have lined up for you:
Ixpe:
DJ, LGBTQ+ activist, and artistic director of Parisian queer parties Discoquette, Ixpé has graced numerous events and parties, including Menergy, Marseilles' Pride, Wet For Me, Bizarre Festival, Oh Honey (Antwerp), and many more. He's also the driving force behind Les Disques du Lobby, a label dedicated to promoting and releasing French queer artists.
Scot Dech & Unickue: Hailing from Greece, these two are the masterminds behind the legendary "It's Raw" events and have left their mark on some of Greece's most significant festivals, such as Reworks. Scot Dech is a DJ-producer who operates behind various concepts (Outer Walls events, It's Raw, artistic events), offering an eclectic selection of music that defies specific genres, making their perspective intriguing and distinctive. Their set last year at the Garden of Urban Spree was one for the books, so we had to invite them back!
Transmitter: A Berlin-based journalist, DJ, and a talent closely associated with La Chunga publishing company. If you're a fan of abstract and driving sets, Transmitter's unrelenting energy will captivate you. His sets blend influences from EBM, the driving Detroit sound, dub techno, house, disco, and synth pop, resulting in a complex sound that urges you to dance.
Local Suicide: Our very own label heads, Vamparela and Brax Moody, form the unstoppable DJ and producer duo Local Suicide. They are known for delivering electrifying sets that spare no punches. Beyond their careers in the music industry and hosting some of Berlin's most infamous underground parties, they find time to create waves with their productions and ignite live audiences worldwide. Their signature Local Suicide sound is a wild fusion of new wave, acid, slow techno, EBM, and post-disco that they call “Technodisco” and Cobrawave". Their productions have garnered them widespread acclaim from music press and prolific DJs.
And, of course, we have not one but two floors to keep the party going strong all night long – both the lush Garden and the vibrant Indoors area, just as you've come to expect from Iptamenos Discotek.
